Blue Mage is a masterpiece of game design.

I have been having fun leveling blu. The RNG on spell farming is nothing to what it was like when spell farming farming in 11. I also think they are doing the limited job at this time to not have the same issue there was with Blu in 11. Once people figured out the spell combos in 11 BLU became very OP. Every time SE tried to nerf BLU, people figured out how make it more OP before the nerf. This job only been out for a couple days just sit back and see what they keep doing with it. People dying to have Beastmaster in this game, if it happens it will most likely go this same route also.

But okay, I'll play your game: it's objectively difficult to demonstrate the amount of patience and determination required in order to complete a long grind, regardless of how easy the repetitive task that needs to be done is. Are you implying that what I said about the difficulty of being able to tackle on a very long and repetitive task - no matter how easy that task is - is wrong?
Because I think that yes, I can very well call these things "difficult", as in "it's not easy to be able to allocate that much time into these time sink".

You're the one taking the time to reply to someone on a forum, a choice you yourself have made. If that's a disrespect to your time, then the only one you have to blame is yourself.

Also, complaining about disrespecting time when that's the argument some people are making about BLU that you're criticizing seems very amusing to me.

Fyce is a troll. He pulled the same obtuse nonsense when he edited one of my quotes, and when I presented him with the original, unedited quote he played the part of the wounded party. I applaud you for attempting to engage in dialogue but be aware you are doing so with a party not acting in good faith.

Maybe it was a bit more of "whataboutism" but it doesn't change the fact that those other grinds are garbage too, and I'm not sure why they should be excused either. You say I can't answer, but I literally in that post told you I think those grinds are ridiculously boring an uninspired bad design too, so I don't know why you're so mad about my assertion that BLU can suffer from the same problem.

Let me once again remind you (if you're still reading) that I'm not actually complaining about the grind as it actually currently exists. You keep glossing over that because you're yelling about other stuff. I already said the grind you actually end up doing right now is short. Briefly annoying, but fine. I'm complaining that if you wanted to ACTUALLY PLAY BLUE MAGE TO UNLOCK CERTAIN SPELLS you sign up for what is potentially an actual bad grind. That's why it's a bad grind: the FAST way you don't even play the content OR THE JOB. You literally sit there picking your nose while a friend or two kills a primal 50 times for you. But you want to play the content/job, the learn rate is SO LOW because of unsync that you could potentially be stuck on for actual days. PLUS you have to drag your friends, potentially pro bono, to do it, and the fun definitely won't last if your luck is trash.

I can't spell it out any clearer than that. It's actually the worst of both options.

I already did contradict you. It isn't objectively difficult to sink time into a task - people just don't want to do that. There are difficult tasks whose rewards (objective and subjective) hold more value for 99% of people.

If you want to consider yourself a paragon and climb a high horse because you no-lifed on a terrible piece of content, that's subjectivity at work, the worst, most self-serving kind. It is almost like your only measure of difficulty is the willingness to do lame things that nobody else in their right mind would do, and that speaks volumes about you. Stop doing mental gymnastics.
