Likewise a detour that retreads very old ground, I did some searching and we knew he was from Dalmasca long before this as I've found posts from last year that reference it, and that seems purely to remind us these NPC's exist and to pad out the run time does not add in any meaningful way to the world building. Especially when it comes at the expense of pacing.

I played Ivalice FF & I disliked it, good for you if you enjoyed it.I think Rabanastre was good(havnt tried new one yet)yet I repeat I do not like final fantasy 12, while I'm fine with lore I agree with most players that typed here that the wine story was awfully long & that this special part that is "claimed" to not come back doesn't have this place, now as far you commenting about NA&EU community not going well along feedbacks well,I dont even know where to go about talking to you theodric but instead ill say this, I cant help but to wonder who think this is good to force things like this on players.If you dont watch this or "skip..." then yea no new raid (specially if its in no context or close to barely any context to..)& I myself ran into the option that result in cancellation of the chat to where you gotta click npc again.As ppl said its poor design & if you like this that's all up to you but besides matsumoto honorificness... this could be taken away & we still would have the same route to ivalice with the same eorza lore.No ff14 isn't building a world that I can see & yes you may try to make it look like it.

That is not up for you to decide. The feedback here is for developers, you're not a developer, you're the one adding nothing to the discussion and just bashing other people. If you disagree then perfect, there's no need to extend this to so many pages just because you personally believe this feedback is trivial, just move on to the next thread. The fact is that threads like this do affect development as I mentioned before, so again after 5 years you're still not understanding the purpose of feedback threads, this is not a "trivial whining", this is a request to take it into consideration when developing the next set of quests.

I now have told you the purpose of this thread, may I ask what do you think your posts will accomplish? Because from what I see you're the one arguing for the sake of arguing now.

It's less opposing view point and more ignore every complaint anyone might have, legitimate or otherwise and just presumes anyone who doesn't immediately adore the pointless sidequest should just play other games instead of "enjoying it"

He’s offering his viewpoint and opinion...while simultaneously telling others that theirs are wrong. As well as making snide comments about “skip potions” and telling people who do not like the quest to just go play other games. You can disagree with someone, but that doesn’t make your opinion right nor theirs wrong. Nor do you have the right to make snide comments to people.

It's ironic that people are whining about a wine quest.

I'm more frustrated we didn't have to fetch the cheese.

I didn’t really mind the fetch quests. I almost always appreciate a bit of story here and there. My way of thinking is: you’re only ever going to have to do it once (unless you have alts), and even then it doesn’t take up a huge portion of one’s time. I may even be a bit disappointed if they were to go.
