In theory I get what you are saying, however a lot of what is made for the cash shop wouldn't even have been developed. These are extras.

But.....it IS optional....you DONT have to buy it. It's there for those who WANT too.
This does not affect you in the slightest if you don't buy the optional items. You're still getting what you paid for. Some just get more cuz they want to pay more for it up front.
It's totally right since thats how literally everything is sold in a retail market. Yes you have your entitlement to your own opinion, but look around how things are sold. It's not a shocker the game industry is a copy of every industry out there. Its like when I have to buy glasses. Theres five different lenses and 10 different coatings. do I NEED them all? no. Do I WANT some of them? yes. Do they cost an exuberant amount? absolutely. But I made the choice to pick up those options vs just a basic pair of lenses.
OMG you are glorious
The real problem would be if the cash shop ever becomes the favored outlet over the base product such that we see less playable game content. I don't think that has been the case to date.
Im not surprise..I am surprised that so many people are ok with paying more for things they should get for their sub. Nothing in the game is free..we all pay for it and most people pay over the $15 sub fee just have space in the game to hold items. Just because this is a common tactic doesnt mean we should except it. Lastly, it really doesn't make sense to say "they still make mounts available in-game" of course they do, they want to give people a reason to not fight against them when they charge you another sub fee for amount that could have been in the game along with the other items you paid for.
First of all games are not like other industries. We pay service fee on top of the purchase of the game. The exclusive cashshop items that have become increasingly more abundant should be apart of what you pay for period. It affects everyone my friend because believe it or not your characters aesthetics are apart of the game and SE knows it.
I wouldn't even mind the amount of items if I could pick which are made available for me ingame and which go to the mog station. There's a slew of items I dislike in the game that my sub automatically buys me access to, but several items I do like are behind an extra paywall, which not only puts a damper on the mood, it also puts a damper on the motivation to play the content and get the rewards, as several of these rewards are just plain "meh" to me. Cue me spending more time on the forums over it.
I'd be fine just being able to trade really, even at a 3:1 conversion rate I'd still get value out of that. But I guess there's a reason the pig suit is an ingame item and not on the mog station - it wouldn't reap as much profit.
I agree with you. So now what you are saying is that you are ok with SE making items to sell to you when you already pay a sub? Why am I paying a sub when they could just live off the money in the cashshop then? If thats how they want to monetize it. When I started playing this game there were no emotes or mounts in the cashshop...there were outfit but only event ones. Not this is slowing looking like a ftp cashshop.
