More like this person is trying to take petty jabs at Koji Fox and his team... honestly it just seems extremely uncalled for and rude at this point to be so willfully ignorant over this...

Having an opinion and not liking something is one thing. Out right refusing to acknowledge someones accomplishments by stating you refuse to see it as the truth is just plain rude and unnecessary.

I personally appreciate all the hard work and dedication that goes in this game by all teams that are a part of the FFXIV. And I'm very happy and thankful they work so hard to keep this game running smoothly. From the tech. guys to the lore teams! Just because I don't prefer something doesn't mean I'll just willfully ignore the fact others are working hard as well to do their job and a good job at that!

What I find rude and unnecersary is one guy a page ago subtely saying (Not even that subtle really) "You're the minority your opinion doesn't matter because it's not the ""right"" one" and another on this page bringing up a completely irrelevant game that had a different team work on that as if they're trying to make them look silly.

But this is the NA forum afterall, someone's saying something that goes against a popular opinion?

b) be snarky for them sweet likes
c) bring up something irrelevant

I don't agree with the sky being blue or grass being green. Why can't we name the colour of the sky purple? Why does it *have* to be blue? Why is green "green"? Why can't it be a different name like "lamp"? However, no matter how much I want that to change, it's not going to happen, because it isn't the "right" one. That's essentially what that person is trying to argue, trying to change the unchangeable.

But I guess you can continue to defend and argue a point that is going out of season. Points for trying. Maybe they want a medal for trying so hard. Who knows.

I'm very sorry, I'm not a fan of the English localization so I'll stand by my opinion and defend the original Japanese, just like you love the English localization and you'll defend that just as much, aren't opinions wonderful? Stop the forum from being boring and makes this place slightly more tolerable than reddit ;)

No one's bothered about the poster preferring the JP version. The issue is them using their JP-bias to denigrate the EN version as supposedly not being true to the 'original' source, when it's been stated how it's a collaborative effort from both sides. Hence for all the poster knows there could be stuff on the JP side that wasn't true to the 'original' EN version, but as far as they're concerned since there's a JP version it must be the true version, hands down.

There's a difference between a discussion of opinions and plain refusal of acceptance. You and they don't like the English script. More power to you, go play in Japanese, and we'll play in English. It's when you refuse to accept that facts that have been proven and keep pushing your own biased and factually irrelevant agenda that we have a problem.
