Please lift glamour restrictions!

Monk and Ninja often downright share their aesthetic and are only recolors, yet you cannot glamour monk gear to your ninja for the coloration. That makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. Neither do things like the holy rainbow shirt, which has a version for every class. The exact same armor design has completely different characteristics and cannot be glamoured to other classes - but it CAN be dyed and it dyes the same for everyone. Wat?

The fact that you can glamour at all is the middle ground, because that didn't always exist. And I think you and others are wildly overstating the 'complexity' of Glamour, because it isn't an accident that the only gear you can glam is gear your character can equip with their current job. it's a very intentional restriction placed on a system that already gave a huge amount of design freedom to players.

I second this. I have had so many gear outfit ideas on my SCH, and NIN. And can't because it is job-restricted. I like flexibility. And letting the player decide on what they want. It is kinda our right to do what we wish for our character. I am just hoping this will be put into play when PS3 is dropped.

I just dont get the players that are so agiasnt how others would like to play the game. If you wana wear your traditional stuff then go ahead but its enough people that would like to wear whatever they want and the game should allow it because it wouldnt effect those im opposition.

And wats wrong with more all it will do is upset peopole like you that want to bring lore from 13 other games into this one.

I guess you also want the sun to be blue and the moon to be yellow and grass to be pink in XIV.

If job AF gear remains locked to the jobs, you still have:

• All low level gear (<49)
• All dungeon gear (iLv55-100 from ARR, barring i90 myth), iLv120-145 from HW)
• All crafted gear (bar augmented AF)
• Darklight gear
• Soldiery gear
• Ironworks gear
• Allagan gear
• High Allagan gear
• Dreadwyrm gear
• Yasha/Asuran gear
• Shire gear
• Prototype and Gordian gear
• Prototype and Midan gear
• Prototype and Alexandrian gear
• PvP gear (ARR and HW)

And with all this stuff, on top of crafted Lv1 glamour and all the Gold Saucer gear, it's apparently still not enough. :rolleyes:

How about no? The glamour restrictions are fine and sensible the way they are, there's no reason to change them. There's nothing wrong with having some structure and consistency.

Not only that, but that list is just going to get longer and longer as time goes by. But m-muh freedom, right? If we don't have every possible option, that's like having no options at all!
