It opens up a third dimension for your character to move in, and it opens up an entire world of combat mechanics and exploration options with it. Of course the game has no need for it NOW, since, you know, the game has been built from the ground up with this feature lacking. But I think it adds enough to the game to warrant its implementation; the game is extremely light on content, they can easily design future content with jumping as an option.

Yeah, actually, I have jumped down small hills, slopes and ledges before. It's faster and safer, assuming that you're fit enough to jump.

I hope you jump fans are ready for the jankest jump ever. Those of you who hardcore want jump must not know SE history of poorly implementing concepts. You will be jumping into jank invisible walls all the time, and it wont be so you jump over cliffs in uldah and get places faster. It will be so super hilarious, and I will laugh at you.

In real life I go hiking all the time, I don't jump up cliffs, I would break my ankle, that's stupid as crap. I just scale up the cliff, which is essentially what we have now. So you jump fans are asking for less realism, and more stupid crap to be implemented that will be totally broken on release, and won't get you anywhere faster. Its just funny. I'll still be smoking you with my hermes shoes on 30 mins of quick, while you hop like assholes.
