It's true. We've got this skill that blocks straight damage and we have our own pocket healer.
Not a DF story but PF..... Went through 3 farm parties for weekly o12s.... and none of them were able to pass it, the closest being a sub 1% wipe due to 2 deaths.... The first 2 parties can't even pass Hello World 2 properly and felt more like practice parties...
Hah, that's weird. Monks need to move a lot for positionals, the most of any job I've played, assuming single target.
I mean, if you're tanking or you're a caster you generally only want to move when you need to, so you can be always casting or so that you're keeping enemies still for the DPS, but as a monk I can't imagine why they would want you to hold still.
The Burn, with WHM (me), WAR, BLM, NIN. WAR forgets stance on the first pull and both he and the BLM died. We managed to not wipe, barely. I remind him and he throws on Defiance. After that, he had huge issues with grabbing and holding trash, and he was moving around as much as a BRD making it hard for me to even get Holy spam going. Pulls were wall-to-wall of course. Bosses were a mess. Both DPS would pop Diversion on CD and the NIN even used Shadewalker. The BLM still pulled all 3 bosses within seconds. I have no clue what that WAR was doing to not even be able to hold a single target properly considering their enmity generation is insane.
I'm so used to do Cyclones --> Knockback --> Damning Eddict in Savage that I mis-positioned myself entirely to dodge this series of attacks in O9N.
Bene'd myself to full, put a Divine Benison on myself, and just high tailed it to the corner to see if I could make it.
Didn't make it.
Survived with 169HP due to full VIT in accessories.
I giggled in maddening excitement at surviving that.
It's still my fault for messing it up though, lol.
What's up with those new Ninjas lately?
First the story in the Vault, now I had a Ninja in Shisui yesterday. All his accessoires being around level 5-15. I sighed and hoped for the best, got the worst. He did not know he had an AOE-Attack. Very bad in a Level 63 dungeon. But he also never, and I literally mean NEVER, used any kind of his Ninjutsus. Why?
And Mechanics? Are there to be ignored obviously. Ok, it is only Shisui, but if you always fail on the second boss and then die, don't be surprised the WHM (me) did not pick you up.
I just did not leave because the poor BLM gave his absolutely best.
I wanted to say it might be a boosted job until you mentioned the low level accessories. Roulette can be kind of weird in that it might give you nothing but low level dungeons nonstop and suddenly give you a high level one. Not advocating bad play but that might be one of the reasons is all.
