Lag is bad this weekend. It's inconsistent, sometimes i can play for a few hours fine, but it keeps coming back. Constat start stopping, some lag spikes up to 5 seconds. Contacted Verizon support and they were useless. Ran me through the same tests I already did and then told me the problem was the game.

A little bit through out the day slight rubber banding and delays, really bad during prime time 6pm-11pm EST and all day every day on weekends.

Very choppy lag in dungeons almost all the time.
OH did no one get the memo this all part of adding Titan Super Hard Mode. -_-
Name of ISP: Time Warner Cable
Country of Residence: USA (Upstate NY)
When does the problem occur: Always, 0.5-10sec lag spikes fairly consistently. There are 3 other ppl in my FC that also have this same issue and have TWC as their ISP.
Name of ISP: Time Warner Cable
Country of Residence: USA (Upstate NY)
When does the problem occur: This problem has been prominent in the instances; the lag spikes are making the harder primal battles unplayable.
Name of ISP: Time Warner Cable

When does the problem occur: It's more prominent in instances, but basically every hour or so. Not much lag, just instant DC's.
NYC (Brooklyn)
Cablevision
90000 error every 1-2 minutes - 5 minutes of "your character is already signed in" before I can get back on.
Can stay on for longer with a VPN - sometimes 5 minutes, sometimes an hour. Rarely longer.
Called Cablevision today, reported the problem, and they replied "We don't throttle anything." Real helpful.

Name of ISP: Comcast Cable
Country of Residence: USA (Southeastern Massachusetts)
When does the problem occur: Everywhere and at all times (though I primarily play at night) Error 90000 anywhere from every 5 minutes to every 3 hours and all things inbetween. Constant lag spikes almost always resulting in said disconnect, but sometimes it will be error 90000 instantly with no discernible increase in latency prior.

There's noticeable lag when I'm soloing, but it's crippling in Duty Finders, especially during dungeons.
ISP: Missouri University of Science and Technology
Country: USA
When does it occur: Evening (roughly between 6pm-Midnight CST).
So far over the past two nights, I have experienced:
1) menu delay (such as opening the Journal)
2) NPC loading delay (noticed this more the second night, would take up to 30 secs to load NPCs for quest turnin)
3) sound crackle/stutter (would pause randomly)
4) graphical delay with combat spells
Update: So, I contacted the network department and they had me sign some Gamer Agreement that would allow me to use P2P protocols for gaming. But, I'm still getting the same issues as before.
ISP: Time Warner Cable
Location: New York City, USA
When does it occur: all the time, but most pronounced during peak hours
I get routine, almost constant .5 - 1 second lag spikes, especially in crowded areas. Ping test reveals 2-4% packet loss to the server address (199.91.189.44), and PathPing shows this packet loss at end of the connection route.
These delays cause very frequent "stuttering" in terms of the movement of NPCs/players, and delays in casting spells, speaking to NPCs, and mechanics being shown on the screen (red zones). All of this contributes to a less than ideal and somewhat frustrating gameplay.

Having no other network issues, but getting serious lag-spikes throughout the day in FFXIV, especially when using duty finder. 3-7 second lag spikes every 15-30 seconds makes tanking dungeons very difficult and needlessly stressful. Just tanked Dzaemel Darkhold, and having to basically keep strafing back and forth trying to guess where Desolate is going to be targeted during a lag spike to avoid a OHKO is pretty ridiculous.
This seriously needs to be addressed, SE.
Location: MD, USA
ISP: Verizon FiOS
Occurs: Throughout day, but heavily during peak hours
Ref#: Pretty obvious it has nothing to do with my ISP, not wasting their/my time.
Same problem as EVERYONE else. Duty Finder/FATEs are the worst, but this is happening in solo quest duties or just when moving around zone. Everything in the game (other than my character) stops and after 3-5 seconds, warps around to catch back up.
664 players have a problem and, for the sake of player relations, having a little more info other than "investigating the issue" would go a long way. I don't think this is an unreasonable request, especially considering how much information in this and outside this post players have been feeding you.
UPDATE** Played last night at unsociable hours (around 1am) and although bytes received was between 2000-7000, I did not d/c once in around 1 hour during solo play, as soon as I entered TamTara via Duty Finder I got the dreaded error 9000, I was able to log back in straight away but after 5 minutes again I d/c'd during the dungeon. I then got error 3102 and was unable to log in for ~10mins.
This morning I logged in at 8am GMT and after 5 mins of solo play I got the error 9000, followed by 3102 and was unable to log back in again for ~10mins.
Really would love some kind of update to this issue...?

I don't know if my problem is about throttling, most likely is.
At completely random times, mainly every 20-45 minutes i can't interact with the game world. The chat works just fine, i see players moving around as usual but my skills stop working. Can't mount, i can fire up a skill and it doesn't do anything. Mobs won't attack me, other players see me standing still.
No errors, nothing. It's like the server completely desynchs with my character. Not only that, it screws up my desktop clock by winding it back by X minutes every time it happens.
This started happening around a week ago (31.8-9.1) after an emergency maintenance. I can only relog when this happens.
Edit: Tracert shows nothing, seems the connection is working just fine. No latency issues whatsoever. The server/port whatever i'm connecting to just seems to derp every now and then.
I didn't have any lag on Saturday. It was just perfect. Not sure how it could have happened, maybe I got assigned a different server?
KPN as well I assume?
I requested them to re-classify the Ormuco ip ranges to "gaming" on Twitter. "Ik zal je verzoek doorzetten. Ik kan niets beloven maar ik zorg ervoor dat er naar gekeken wordt." was what he said.
Have had some small spikes yesterday though nothing problematic or highly annoying. Can't say whether SE fixed something or whether KPN stepped up either.
ISP: Verizon Fios

When does it occur: Every single time usually worst as more people are in combat. While the Inn rooms are of course lag free. Right after the new servers were added and that patch was applied.
ISP: Yahoo BB (Hikari Fletts)

The problem seems (i hope) solved for me, no lag since yesterday.
ISP: Telenet

When does it occur: frequently up to 3 times per hour, much more frequently when in dungeons.
ISP: Telus
Country: Canada (Alberta)
When does it occur: Constantly, haven't been able to log in and not disconnect since yesterday evening. Furthermore after multiple attempts at logging in I occasionally get completely booted back to the launcher and the message "Cannot launch Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn. Please register the promotion code included with your package or download. A re-install is not necessary." I played a good chunk of yesterday until the evening with no issues.
Platform: PS3, World: Diabolos
Edit: Also my boyfriend plays on PS3 as well, sits right beside me, uses the same connection and has had zero issues so far with lag/disconnect. It just seems so odd lol!
have you registered your actual product key to your account. You got 7 days after release of free play, THEN 30 more days free, only if you registered the game product key to your account. This could be the promotion code they speak of.
The first 7 days was to allow people who pre orders PHYSICAL copy's time to get them, as there could be a delay between them leaving the factory, getting to the store, and getting to them.
Check the "check my order page", will ask you for last x numbers of ur credit card and it will give you your pre order key, and game cd key. Enter them at Mog station website.
SE what is going on with this? Give us an answer or I'm starting calls to BBB and federal commissions. This is really getting insulting. You either need to go back to limiting the logins or figure out what nonsensical thing you did to get the ISP's to throttle you.

- Intermittent in large scale battles and fates. (High traffic areas often lead to input lag, or inability to participate in fates, waiting for characters and enemies to load.)
Worth noting, this is on a PS3.
