Yup.
Does your post become irrelevant a few months after you post it?
Is your post here just to be consumed and discarded, or do you stand by it?
You arguing the date not the subject.

The mention about how much time past since the thread even started makes me wish time would stop zooming by, but on the bright side it means the new expansion gets ever closer. I am so ready to be free from dawntrail.
Also means we inch closer to another housing update. Given the glacial pace se do updates for housing in this game. Looking forward to housing mirage turning my mist beach front cottage to a beach front mansion.
Still not holding my breathe on expanded placement options for things, much as I'd like it.
If they get hit in the crossfire. Then it's hitting exactly who it was intended for. And still very much stand by my perspective. And anyone who agrees with you is effectively arguing the same lines as of logic as pro Ai tools as art itself. Your logic is the same DNA in the Ai pipeline.
If the vision is all that matters. Then why argue against improving the tool that remove all the friction and labor? Who's gonna argue against better tools. Right...?
This isn't just about the Z axis.
The z axis is a springboard to the conversation, automation vs the proccess.
I'm just usin this is actually the same line of logic that's pro ai, an given that square wants to use AI for its games, but the players are against AI.But also carry pro ai sentiments. Such as yours. It's all about the end result right? The process is a waste of time as you said...
So you want square to do it the manual hard way , and not use aI because it lacks soul for the very reasons you call it sisyphcian, labor and a sweat tax? You hold a contradictory view. You're pro artist whils being pro automation. The juiciest type of contradiction
Here we go again with the same old talk about AI and automation...
Do you know the difference between you and AI? AI can learn from its own mistakes and acknowledge them. That puts it a step above you.
You, on the other hand, are like a caveman—shouting the loudest in this thread, wanting to be heard, yet unwilling to listen other.
it's missing the second part: "i suffered more so i am better than all of you who didn't suffer as much"
i don't agree with that, but that's the silent part
------
Z axis would be just turning hard work into smart work. Creativity is not going to disappear, just a bit of suffering.
So is art the process or the outcome?
Sorry I will die on this hill lol
The entire creative process would be annihilated. Its just A to B. The system wont ever tell you no. So their no alternate paths, there's no reason to creatively problem solve. Because you've removed the need to creatively problem solve.
Nobody likes being told no, but being told no periodically is the catalyst to kick creativity into overdrive to turn that no into a yes by force.
Im listening to you try to call grit, the commitment to the vision, and the struggle all a waste of time. You are posturing like you care about the Art/Artist, but you only care about the outcome. Like I said its your perspective to have an you're entitled to have it but I deeply disagree with it on a creative level.

The path to the vision is hard, but the willingness to fight through the friction to see it through is where the soul is
I thought I said it at the very beginning — you are an individualist. IF you care only about the process, its your only way.
Most people here want advanced tools for self-expression; it is our way of having a dialogue with the world and other creators like us. Through the result.
Keep your 'sweat tax', your 'limits', your 'entities that tell you no', and your 'muscle friction' as your personal sacred instrument.
Creativity is multifaceted, and everyone has their own path.
With the release of the improved editor, we'll get what we wanted, and you can limit yourself, and don't complain about others being able to do things faster. Stop being such a hecking egotist.
