Pulling During Cutscene

I don’t think its the start of dungeons that’s the issue. Except I have a personal dislike for cape west wind. Thatcutscene is 10x longer than the fight. Its the pre final boss and waiting for loot cutscenes that can take a bit and have people standing around waiting. If 20 seconds an an issue, then yeah I get it

I wasn't talking about you simply disagreeing with another person. I was talking about your rudeness. Saying someone wanting to watch cutscenes is is not appreciating others' time is, as you put it, indirectly "being derogatory simply because one's views don't align with your own." Saying "Doesn’t matter, because now its your turn. Only you matter. But they can’t feel the same way I guess." is sarcasm towards that person as well. Saying they are "sad" because of it goes a step further.

So derogatory, name calling, and sarcasm all in your previous post.

Honestly your belittling others' opinions and complete disregard for others on here has been rude from the start. From "I'd direct you to your early post, but you won't see it" you've tried to shut down conversations on this thread with the same holier than thou attitude you accuse others of having and have been rude to posters while getting defensive at every slight bit of sarcasm. However, this past post definitely went above and beyond.

I'm done on this thread though. Go ahead and make whatever excuses you want for it and I won't be arguing back. I've had enough of the hypocrisy of people who want to lock others out of a first time experience after getting to have one themselves and then get upset because others call them out on it and say its "harassment" to do so. If you don't want to be called out by others for pulling while someone else is in a cutscene then I guess don't play through DF, that seems to be the main option some of you have been giving others so why not us PF then?

As far as what you quoted of mine, that’s what people are saying if you’ve been following the thread. But we often don’t read into what those who agree with us are saying. We move on to the next argument. But people have been consistently saying “my first time”, and “my experience”
Stop trying so hard to get offended

The pre-boss cutscene in Thousand Maws of Toto-Rak is about 2 minutes and 40 seconds. I know waiting around doing nothing is boring, but we're not talking about a significant amount of time in the grand scheme of things. I would advise: if you are so pressed for time that you literally can't stand for a dungeon run to take 2-3 minutes longer than is optimal, then don't queue in Duty Finder. Especially these days, what with all the new players coming to the game and the likelihood of being grouped with first-timers.

Depending how many players and what roles you're leaving behind while you get a head start on the boss, you're probably not even making up for much lost time anyway. Heck, I remember one time I was the healer of the party, and by the time I was out of my cutscene the tank was nearly dead. Imagine wiping the group to spite the newbies, all in the interest of "saving time."

They're watching it calmly because that is what was advertised when you queued up for msq roulette. If you got it through mentor roulette is an entire different discussion.

The people who refuse to watch it "calmly" either don't queue or leave when they enter a dungeon from msq roulette.
And that is how msq was before and it made it confusing for new players so they upped the reward and made them unskippable.

Anyhow roulettes outside msq are 50/50. Sometimes you get someone whose new, sometimes no one is new.

Being an arse is not illegal.

Doesn't mean you shouldn't try avoid being one.

Yeah, why shouldn't we stop thinking of ourselves for one moment and start thinking about how other people feel when they're forced to skip a cutscene?

I don’t think I would mind much if others went ahead if i am in a cut scene I haven’t seen before.. just if you die don't cry or get mad. I will likely always wait tho for others. I can’t think of any scenario in which I wouldn’t. I don’t think anyone should be treating others badly.. but i imagine it is difficult due to both sides of this maybe feeling they are treated unfairly .. I don’t really see a fix for this other than to not use the df for your groups.. maybe if you gather your own groups things that annoy you can be avoided. I am not sure tho.. I don’t know too much about what can and can’t be done in this game yet.

I had one particular run of Tower a few weeks back that comes to mind. We had maybe 3 newbies across the entire raid. When we reached the last boss, absolutely not a single one of us pulled. We all waited patiently for those 3 people to finish their cutscene. People were goofing around with emotes, and not a one was complaining in chat. On the contrary, some were even saying how pleasantly surprised they were to see us all so well-behaved. Made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside, not like this thread.

Wait for people be ignored, nobody cares u see yourself as "patient".
Pull and ignore newb in cutscene same story, i couldnt care less what some random forum dweller thinks of me.
I will pull and solo any 70+ boss i want as war or pld when i want. Newbs wont mind.
