Eden 8 ( Spoilers) Ummm....Square?

You guys have some very strange ideas about what sexualises something/someone. Nudity represents innocence. Even in the Christian bible, nudity represents innocence. Adam and Eve only decide they need clothes when they lose their innocence.

There is nothing sexual in the normal raid. Nothing at all. Moreover in the Savage raid Hraesvelgr makes an appearance, but not as Shiva's lover, as the other part of Shiva. They are joined as one not because they are lovers but because he literally devoured her - as she asked him to - so that their souls would be entwined eternally. There is nothing sexual inthe actual tale of Shiva and Hraesvelgr, except the lies promulgated by the Ishgardian inquisition who claimed Saint Shiva lay down with dragons.

Folks seeing this as something sexual are the ones with the problems. I never even noticed what Shiva was wearing in this fight, that's how 'shocking' it isn't. And I'm a mother and a grandmother. To be honest I see young girls of Ryne's age behaving far more provocatively on my way to work in the morning (I drive past a secondary school).

It's not a projection thing. Sometimes people have different beliefs on certain subjects. God forbid someone have a different opinion than you. What does her little side explanation about showing Eden how to care for the empty have to do with letting herself become the physical embodiment of a re-imagined primal?? Thats how the Shiva we know was summoned, so she thinks it might be required to summon an appropriate manifestation of it.

I think it wasn't so much that they thought it was the only way to summon Shiva, but that hearing the story of how Shiva was summoned made Ryne think that maybe she could control the power if she is used as host and then she could teach Eden through their connection somehow someway.

People keep parroting this, but the fact of the matter is that it's, in essence, a national minimum set in 1907 via the Japanese Penal Code that the various prefectures and municipalities can't go under. However in reality, and in practice, it's higher than that depending on the specific jurisdiction.

America has no federal age of consent unless it concerns taking, say, a nude selfie (pornography) and a couple other situations, in which case the age is eighteen across the board. Even so, there are typically other factors to consider such as minimum ages and age differentials depending on the state.
