I was healing Ifrit Extreme in DF. Which everyone surprisingly knew the fight except for the other healer which said, "I'm new." I tell her about how she needs to stay away from the PT when she has the debuff, but she kept running head on into the melee to cast aoe heals. To which everyone kept dying.
I asked multiple times that if they could get on team speak so I could let them know when they could go in to "assist heal" but they would not saying they didn't want to ruin the experience.
It got to the point that I let her stay dead, and I solo healed the EX in DF.
She told me I was a jerk for this because she was "new" and I didn't give her the chance to learn. Yet I did - I offered, marked, and told her about the safe zones.
I honestly don't regret it - honestly she should be happy with a free-win. >.>

I had something similar the other night, except we had a weird phase mechanic rotation. o_O We had worms popping up during the comet phase. o_o Got bad breathed by one popping up next to us while we were trapped in the barrier as we were DPSing the comet..... that hurt. We didn't finish the comet off due to this (party make up had mainly casters, if I remember correctly) so the inevitable blast occurred. Between the morbal-like effect chewing our HP and silencing us, and the blast as we didn't finish off the mechanic everyone but the tank was offed (I think? Was kind of still stuck on the "dafaq!?" daze at the appearance of the worm). I got raised by an alliance member, realized "ohshit is that seriously 3 bars? o____o Will anyone yell at me...? .......oh, fckit if they do", and LB3'd us up.
<3 finally being able to get the chance to Healer LB. T^T I like the kneeling animation.... it's like making an ultimate sacrifice through some kind of prayer.
Other healer made me feel hugs-ish inside, afterwards - so I didn't really care if no one gave a damn. *Hugs le Lalafel!*
On a separate account, did Darkhold with FC with a WAR that came back after about a year-ish absence, so we were trying to 50 him and get him back in the groove of things. He lagged to coincounter's two handed swing. Hit my raise macro right away and..... nothing o_o next thing I know, he's respawned at the entrance - apparently he'd closed the UI's "respawn?" message, clicked what he thought was the message for my Raise and ended up back at the beginning with mass confusion (I'm partially surprised and partially not - I had three heals in a row eaten into the aether on a party member in a different dungeon just before Darkhold. Clicked his name on the party list, cure II. Nothing. Cure II. Nothing. Cure II. Nothing. Clicked someone else, clicked his name again, and finally cure'd. He was standing right next to me so it wasn't range, and his name was highlighted from the first time I clicked. Yeah, no idea.). Anyway - so now we have a giant running amuck. Another FC mate goes down while I'm dodging and accidently respawns, so it's just me and our DRG. I had us with just Regen on both as I'm literally kiting in circles around the room. It was like Cutter's Cry, but with so much more at stake... lol. One smack was a good chunk of HP and he actually kind of out paces you while sprint is on cooldown o_O. I'd stop to aero II real fast when he paused to do one of his longer mechanics, but that was about it. It took a while, but we killed it.... 5 or so mins of just running in circles, using Regen to keep us healed and using SC to esuna paralyze on the DRG when it was up. -

I felt bad for the healer in my group the other day. Was running a dungeon as one of my alts who mains dragoon (not why I felt bad) and we had a warrior tank who would run up to a mob and agro them then just stand there while the black mage an I tried to kill them. Its possible that I was getting some lag in the battle which made it look like the tank was just standing there but everyrhing else seemed normal. Not sure how they held agro if they weren't attacking beyond the opening attack. So confusing.

kinda a healer horror story, but reversed.
Yesterday I queued for DR low as a tank, and Aurum Vale (yay D:) popped, in progress.
we get to the second boss, we start the fight, but the healer D'Cs at something like 50% of the boss health.
we manage to stay alive just a bit, but we slowly die, one by one...
at the point where the last person is dieing, the healer comes back, so he is basically alone versus the coincounter, since everyone returned to the starting point....
funny, yeh, but at this point, the healer continues to fight the boss. running, casting regen and stonesking, etc.
while 3 other people are standing outside, watching for 25 minutes how he managed to bring the boss from 50% to 38%.
we asked him to just wipe and restart.
hell no sir. he probably had to prove how pro he was, to his friend dps.
after half an hour waiting, he dies.
so we start the fight back again, me and the ninja dodging just fine all the attacks, but at some point I see that the healer has died.
so we wiped again.
and thehealer comes out with something like "this fight is impossibile".
...oh! that's why you wasted half an hour for nothing, then! clever! D:
at the end, we cleared the dungeon with less than 10 minutes left....
oh, and that healer was in full ironworks D:
on a side note. as a healer, I've watched as the MT in praetorium moved to the "safe spot" with the rest of the party,during the phase when Ultima Weapon makes airships fall down the arena.
it was kinda hilarious. -

Honestly, it is so much easier to solo heal Infrit EX than to deal with a healer that doesn't get the Searing Wind mechanic.Quote:

As he said, it was obviously the other healer's first time. It's kinda harsh to call someone incompetent just for that. I've rarely seen any healers do zero mistake on their first try on any Ex.

Just got kicked from AK HM for telling a PLD to use buffs.
I blew through PoM, DS, and Bene trying to keep him alive while he stood there and ate 3k damage a hit. As soon as my buffs wore off my 2.6k heals couldn't come up with the constant 3k hits and he died. Then I got kicked for telling him to use buffs and he told me that it is "clearly my fault that I can't heal that much at i130". -
