Yeah dude, that's what I said you said. For some reason though, you're also making pessimistic assumptions about the future/lifespan of a current console/support for a game you aren't helping develop.

There's not much point in arguing in this thread anymore. This thread was defeated with the first few replies.

I am basing my assumptions on past behavior.
In the past, S-E's support policy for obsolete consoles was effectively "abandon in place" about a year after the console's successor was released; the only saving grace was that there were no separate console servers to shut down.
In the past, the publication of content available for download stopped soon after the release of the console's successor. Online distribution has not lasted longer than the production of pressed discs.
