Actually yes, Ive had multiple large medium and smalls over the years and Ive had to deal with that dumb timer every time, everyone else needs to as well or remove it completely and fix housing. Honestly giving Island Sanctuary an any size plot would fix it for tons of ppl

Okay here's another idea.

*A loser's ward.
*After 'x' number of weeks, let's say 15 weeks (or whatever) of bidding and losing, you have access to a new ward that has been opened. Only people that have lost the lottery the required number of times are allowed to join the lottery of the new losers ward.
*Could even have the bigger losers ward for those how have gone 15 weeks losing in the losers ward.
*One more final, biggest losers ward, if you lose for 15 weeks in the biggest losers ward you get a unique title "The biggest loser" as a consolation prize.

A mercy system. This is actually a great idea imho, because it means you'll eventually get a house. I don't know if 15 cycles is enough, too little or too much, but I like the base concept.

this is moire fair but ultimately the issue would remain which is a lot more demand than supply.
better than nothing tho

its funny but I think the whole demand and supply issue turned housing into "gotta grab it when I can, even if I have 0 interest in housing", because I've seen so many empty houses already, people get it, and then leave it there just so they can have on in their pocket.

Went looking at a bunch of houses last week in Empyrium, and about half of them were basically empty, a single chair or retainer bell in a big empty room untouched for months.

As long as there is a limited supply, demolishion has to be on from time to time.

Otherwise, newpeople (or people that never got a house) will never get one and there will be tons of abandoned houses from people that stopped playing.

It‘s just jow it has to be with limited resources like this..

If apartmens where more close to houses it would be better but they aren‘t…

It does suck that you have to visit it once a month to not lose it but as it stands, it has to be this way sadly

I agree that auto demolition is a necessary evil so as to free up unused houses from inactive players due to limited supply.

However, I feel the current 45 days timer is too short and it should be extended to at least 90 days since that is the approximate duration between each patch cycle and players may unsubscribe between each patch but would still be considered active players.

Well, i'm happy auto demo is off, like in My case i couldnt log in back after few months till i could have enough coin buy endwalker.

But i do engage in housing, My lil Home is full with furniture, i was afraid to lose all that time and Gil invested on it.

I'm glad it's still standing, but i'm aware of the shortage of them and ppl complains on it, but i'm happy auto demo is off.
