People find different interests in this game. It's an MMO and it's designed to cater to as many people as it can. For me, the game is glams and housing primarily.

I've taken the liberty of highlighting the key point. The point here was they've reused gear extensively in the same expansion, as well as the same patch.

I've once again emboldened the keypoint here. Do note that Monastic Cyclas is Dusk Vigil (LEVEL 51), and Chimerical Felt Cyclas is 145 crafted. Both in the self-same patch.

Openly talking about budgeting issues is essentially criticizing the company/organisation you work for. If stuff like that is routinely done then you won't remain in employment very long in the vast majority of places. Many themes within this game also appear within previous Final Fantasy titles. if you didn't know that.

You need to understand that whether you like it or not asset reuse is just a normal thing, no matter how extensive of not. It's a means of keeping development costs down, in addition to ensuring projects adhere to strict deadlines, which in the case might not necessarily be a possibility if they aim to never reuse assets. It's just a natural thing. Ultimately Square Enix is a business, if they can cut costs without a severe detriment to quality (I know melodramatic people on the forums think it is severe), then they will do so.

Besides, whether you want to admit it or not COVID-19 still remains an excuse. The game was being developed in an unforeseen time. If you don't think COVID still impacts peoples ability to work then you're living under a rock (Perhaps not to the same detriment, but if people catch it, or are in contact then that's a detriment to productivity or a complete temporary stoppage to the work carried out by that employee.

Call it a weak mans excuse all you like - My response to anyone with that mentality is to stop living under a rock, to be honest.

This is the one major, major problem I have with Endwalker. The glam is garbage honestly everything is just recolors of recolors. Nothing new or interesting here at all, for a game like FFXIV to release an expansion with zero glamours like this is kind of ridiculous.

That doesn't really bother me too much.
What does bother me is the fact that we still can't use (non-artifact) DoH and DoL gear for glamour (on DoW and DoM gear) like we can with HW and ARR gear.

Funny to see a person who raced to fantasia into male viera complaining that we got reused gear models in dungeons.

It's been spelled out to you a million times. Development is not a money issue, it is a time issue. Throwing more money at the studio will not make them magically able to produce all the content you think should be there the moment you think it should.

There's so many dungeon and raid(looking at you mostly, ivalice) equipment I would love to dye. Having them undyeable is a massive crying shame and limits glamour options. Come on squeenix, support fashion wars!

Also... I'm not surprised a lot of the crafted 81- 90 non-bis EW stuff is just recycled gear from SB/ShB.

You do realise that content 'missing' is because those development resources are poured elsewhere. Firmament and Ocean Fishing are prime examples. Those aren't just pulled out of a tinfoil hat and magically produced. This argument just comes down to preference largely (Oh well I like Deep Dungeon, but I don't like Bozja, or vice versa), and if they were to continue release the content just because "was there last expansion" - Then that's just a recipe for stagnation. If they released another Deep Dungeon and it failed to innovate on previous iterations beyond renaming pomanders, or adding in new magicite then it would just be for the sake of routine. - It's like, do you feel they're just pulling Island Sanctuary out of a hat? No that's just content being introduced at the expense to content elsewhere in the game. I feel like if they just released another deep dungeon just cuz, or kept to the same routine of dungeons and didn't introduce the large scale delubrum raid with savage difficulty, nor the 2 other raids we got alongside of it then this argument would very quickly turn the table of going from:

Well they're cutting content > Well it's the same old expansion and no innovation. This development team in the past has been criticised for their lack of risk factor, or for their stale routines, it is an argument that I agreed with, and to be frank they innovated content a little more with Shadowbringers.

I'm not going to blame that on anything, I'm just going to tell you to stop selecting content areas that have been cut whilst subsequently ignoring areas where content was added, or new. It's a disingenuous outlook to have, whilst removing many of the merits that came from it. I guarantee you if they just maintained their standard format/routine, then this thread would not be created by you. But in it's place a new thread would have been established criticising developers for their lack of innovation/risk. They took a massive risk by trading off content from previous expansions to develop relatively entirely new experiences, and something they can innovate on going forward, as they did learning from Eureka to produce Bozjan Southern Front / Zadnor. They've already openly admitted that not producing a Deep Dungeon didn't produce their expected outcome, and would you look at that, they're producing one for Endwalker.

What does me using a fantasia have to do with anything? Also yes its a time issue, which can be alleviated by using money to hire more people. Theyve had years to do it. You act like im asking for more content when literally, im just asking for at the very least, us to get the same amount of content we got in previous expansions, aka actual left side gear for the 89 dungeon, an actual unique song for both expert dungeons etc.

They extended the release and they're making bank. They can hire more people maybe. :rolleyes:
