Why do people bother dodging aoe during trash pulls?

Because it’s a video game and I play video games to execute mechanics and have fun not sit there mindlessly clicking buttons with drool coming out of my mouth praying the healer heals me if I’m about to die. That’s how I picture any non-sprout player who decides to not dodge simple AOEs. I couldn’t give a rat’s butt about your 2% increased DPS

I mean your not wrong 1 aoe maybe even 2 doesn't always hurt that badly. It's nothing that dps popping bloodbath, shadeshift or something similar can't keep on top of.

BS! That's often more dependent on the tank being good than the healer.

That tank that only pops vengeance when he's down to 11k hp if he even uses cooldowns at all. Too late now mate. What good is popping a cooldown now when the damage your taking is a fraction of what it was 20 seconds ago because 3/4 of the pull has been killed...

I can run an expert dungeon and rarely if ever use a gcd on a heal. I can run an expert dungeon and find myself spamming the hell out of psychic just because the tank is super squishy. And eating every resource I have.

Sometimes the mobs are so fat they push each other out of the way (last pull of Pagl'than for example), so the tank can't do much and it's optimal to stay dead center and eat a few AoEs on a job like NIN.

Simple.

I respect the time investment of another player when queueing into multiplayer duties.
It's something ingrained into me as an ex-JP player.

I will do all mechanics, and i will perform at the highest skill level i can out of respect for the people that chose to spend their time with me.

Anything less is just pathetic and lazy.

Conditioning, it's really funny when you play machinist in a front line and put your turret on the ground, people are so traumatized about the red circle on the ground it's hilarious to see them stop or try to circle around :3

Mao is BLMs. BLMs pretty weak for defense and hits points. Some trash can hurts Mao pretty bad, so Mao tries avoid AoEs. Is nots hard for Mao to move little bits and still keeps timers going.
