First off, it's not cheating. It's been pointed out to you multiple times. Ain't no point in dragging this particular point out with you - if you haven't gotten it by now after being explained this simple idea multiple times, then you're just not going to get it. But hey...glad you can point out what I do and don't have enjoyment in. I'll have you know, modding Fallout 4 to have unique weapons makes it much more entertaining - is that cheating as well? Umm...this came out of nowhere. Nobody really brought up harder content. Also, the harder content literally is Ultimate - they intend to continue these fights in 5.0, so what are you talking about? Also, content is getting watered down because it draws in casual players, and then a good number of those same players get complacent and whine about hard fights. I missed out on the whole whining about Tsuku, but back when I was still on this character, her Ex fight wasn't even that hard. Yet the casual base was whining for nerfs for her normal fight. And honestly, before I even discovered parsing, I found that release-date Shinryu wasn't all that hard. Yet players whined and complained for a nerf on that. Maybe, just maybe, there are a lot of casual players who just suck?

Ever think about that, in your never-ending complaints about the raiding community?

Yoshi-P is not going to make "harder" content because the content was not designed to be played with cheat tools. You want to cheat, later claim the game is too easy. Maybe quit using the tools and you'll see where the difficulty is supposed to be. If anything the content is getting watered down because the parser users are falling outside the bell curve.

Once again I don’t like it so no one else should either! Lol why don’t you go cry somewhere else? Other people do like parsers it does help with personal improvement and is fun for people who want to play optimal and understand the numbers. And those “cheat tools” as you call them are used by world first groups that yoshida watches sooooo. Don’t like parsers don’t use them plain and simple don’t like fflogs don’t use it. Stop ruining everyone else’s fun because you are a cry baby.

There is no accountability to be had. Bad players will use tools because they think they're in a e-peen competition. Good players don't use tools at all, or at least not tools that give them any advantage in playing content or automation. The friction comes from bad players who parse and think they're in a e-peen competition on content that doesn't even matter, harassing PUG's and PF's groups, instead of forming their own private e-peen party.

How are you going to report people for refusing to party with you because your parses are hidden when they can simply refuse to tell you why or make up a reason? The game rules do not afford you an expectation of an invite.

You also clearly have no idea what you're talking about and have likely never played an MMO even remotely seriously. I don't raid in this game, but I raided for years in WoW at a reasonably high level (US top 100), and let me assure you that theorycrafting and performance metrics are the lifeblood of upper end players. Their superior understanding of the game and of performance metrics is why they're they're the upper end to begin with. Playing the game in that fashion of course does not mean they don't have fun. It certainly found it fun when I did it. It's a different type of fun from what I do in FFXIV now where I mostly just putz around crafting and doing the story, but you'd have to be pretty foolish to genuinely believe people are paying money every month to not have fun.

You are right that along with performance metrics comes not-so-great hierarchy obsessed wannabes, but to declare parsing terrible because those players exist is to throw the baby out with the bathwater. Those players also exist even without objective performance metrics. People are capable of qualitatively assessing gameplay. Whether they are any good at it or not doesn't have any intrinsic connection to how confident they feel about aggressively berating others for failing to meet whatever arbitrary or not-so-arbitrary standards they may have set.

Lol right if you don’t want someone in your group you could claim “different playstyles” and it’s acceptable. If they didn’t link parser information or tell you your numbers or their numbers you can’t report them for a parser because you have no proof they are using one.

Yeeea nawww, If I can do it im sure others can too long as they git gud. The game is all about numbers, and a few other factors, I just happen to have those factors. You are used to your garden variety casual tanks, need to find some thats been doing it for years.

Since we going by that note, I have yet to find a DRG that does NOT tank the floor. But its gonna be fun very soon, since now Ill have plenty of Dragoons, tanking the floor in my beloved Monster Hunter game, very very soon.

How toxic, you expect these casuals who are being attacked by the boogeyman raiders to comprehend the idea of "git gud"? Don't you know they play how they want, don't you know they've been playing since ARR and still need to pull one pack at a time, thus resulting in a i360 player dumping their entire opener into a single mob while the tank is trying to hold 3 mobs?

Hello. I’m an i368 BiS BRD that has ripped off of good tanks in current tank BiS (with and without a DRG in the party) while actively rotating my enmity dumps. I have also ripped off of lesser geared tanks sitting in their tank stance while doing the same thing...and then later on again when I have nothing to use. I may not be an orange-tier BRD, but I think I know my job well enough to say I’m fairly decent at it. At the least, I know well enough that I have netted 10k, 11k, and almost 12k openers if RNG is kind enough.

I don’t think you could hold aggro off of a decently geared and decently parsing DPS in i310 even if you were sitting in your tank stance, much less if you switched to DPS stance. Something tells me that those “high parsing dpsers” you had probably weren’t parsing that high.

Done it before. Can easily hold it off you specially in Tank Stance. I know the game is all about numbers, but their are certain other factors in play, its why I rip threat off every single other paladin I would threat battle against, its due to those factors. Ill give you a hint. Its Hardware related. I know, its sucks, too many inexperienced or simply bad tanks out there. Very few of the good ones even do random PFs anymore, they just dont bother, and why would they? They can cap their mendacity in Eureka now, or they just go with their Statics/FC members. I PF cuz I like the Variety and random nature of it. Keeps me entertained, but Yea I been capping mendacity thru Eureka too, its just faster.

They can play however they want, its their subs. But if they are getting attacked by elitists, their own fault, does not take long to look up a guide, practice rotations on a dummy, and generally learn. Tanking in this game is not hard, at all. I find being a Healer or a DPS to be much more challenging. But when you get a DPS hitting random buttons, or hell, hitting the same attack over and over for god knows what reason, then constantly being yelled at for it, its really their own fault for not trying to fix it. But hey if they can ignore it and all the angst they get, more power to them. I dont pay their sub, you dont pay their sub, no one pays their sub, they pay it, they play how they want. Ive had plenty of bad dps in 4, 8, 24 man content, I dont call em out on it, I just carry them as best as I can. Its pointless to yell at them for it since they likely had to go thru abuse alot already.

It's their 15 dollars, but for the other three players, it's their combined 45 dollars that is being wasted. I guess that makes me an "elitist" because I want people to know how to press Flash or use 1-2-3 to hold threat in tank stance as a baseline of their braindead easy role.

That said, Healer isn't any harder - there's nothing to do, so you DPS because there's too much downtime.

Playing a DPS is the hardest role because the only way to prove your value is being repeatedly attacked in threads like this by people who pull 2k DPS in i350+ gear as a DPS.
