Fixing Legacy Characters Story

Hello, I'm a 1.0 player, not Legacy but do have the tattoo and didnt receive the 1.0 intro nor the special npc treatment....

We have 2 problems here :

- Too many 1.0 players don't even realise they don't have the right cutscenes (just seeing some npc saying "you seem familiar" make them think they have the Warrior of Light scenario)
- There is not a thread about this on JP forums

Now, I think if we don't get any answer from devs/mods about this is because of these 2 reasons. In order to raise people and more importantly devs' awareness about our problem here, we need someone speaking japanese (or at least who can write it) to open a similar thread on JP forums.
One could understand that the devs are not focused on this matter right now with server congestion and all, but that we can't even get a simple answer is unforgivable considering the importance of this matter (I mean it's the main story, right?) for those of us who cares about the role playing part in the word RPG. Even if it's to tell us they will do something later, at least we will know they are on it instead of being kept in complete dark.

So please, if someone can open a thread about this on JP forums, you will have the thankfulness of everyone here, starting with me ^^v.

I have (3) 1.0 characters - only one entered the White Raven fight (didnt beat it). Thats the character that got the Legacy cut scene at the beginning. But all my characters after the intro cutscene are getting the same story line about the vaguely familiararity treatment.

The one thing that is really unnerving me to a certain degree is that they have known about the bug since Beta Phase 3 back in June, but so far, not a single official word about it has been said/written. Makes the statements of "the importance of our most dedicated fans" (read: legacy players) have a bit of a strange resonance in my opinion.

But I do agree that they currently have bigger fish to fry with the server problems. Once those are fixed (hopefully come wednesday), I expect them to focus on other bugs, this one included.

Well, at least this thread ( http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...zed-as-Legacy/ ) is now marked as "Accepted Bugs", maybe this is a good sign?

On wednesday maintenance notice, they wrote "- Address several known issues". I hope this bug's fix will be on the train...

Glad to see it got moved to accepted bugs. Hopefully it'll get fixed soon.

Remember though that being moved to the "Accepted Bugs" subforum only means they'll check it at some point. Only if it later get's moved into the "Confirmed/Planning to Adress" subforum will they actually work on fixing it. So keep your hopes low, just in case. Better to expect less and be positively surprised than to expect much and be let down.

One interesting thing is that most posts that have been moved to the "Accepted Bugs" subforum are closed and a moderator posted something along these lines in it:

The post about the Legacy bug on the other hand, while being in the "Accepted Bugs" subforum does not have such a mod post and is not closed.

Actually, it wouldn't let me reply to it earlier, I had assumed it had been closed.
