I wouldn't say "Only" thing different, because the other major difference from those games that you mention is that it is a FF title with FF fans to follow. Whether or not they will even be on board with ARR remains to be seen. Don't expect much.

Oooo FF title! Let me just slap Final Fantasy on WoWs cover, there ya go, FF title. Just because it has FF elements(cheap ones mind you, instead of getting creative, they just looked at past ff games.) doesn't make it live up to FF11 standards.

This team has no creativity, period.

Ok, the devs have been really quiet, for like, a few weeks now. Give us something already =/

Those children that are old enough to read and not old enough to play this game shouldn't be watching you read a forum for said game.

This forum isn't required to be at a "family friendly" standard, especially when the minimum age to play the game and post on the forums is 13.

Plus, #*&$^ doesn't really count as profanity. #*&%^ is not an actual word. While people are generally supposed to act civil towards eachother here, stuff does happen from time to time and it is your responsibility as a parent if you are one to ensure that your children aren't exposed to anything you don't want them exposed to- it's not *our* responsibility.

according to the tos then you are incorrect actually. rude or abusive comments are direct violations of the tos and profanity directed towards another member is exactly that.

And it's up to SE to enforce the TOS, not up to us to protect your children. If a post offends you or anyone that can see your computer screen, then report that post. They do act on post reports. People are not going to get banned for letting their tongues slip here and there, but when people have clear intent to serve no other purpose other than to offend people it can happen.

I'm not legitimizing profanity here, I'm only pointing out that it's not everyone else's responsibility to protect your precious snowflakes. It is yours and yours alone.

i know people tend to say things out of the way. i've done it myself and i'm not going to lie and say i haven't. it was a bit out of place though having my 6 year old who was sitting in my lap turn around and say "what is ...."
