Developers ignoring the feedback of paying customers is no reason to not give it and that’s exactly what the forums are for

The thing is...

We can all agree they 100% ignore forum feedback, right?

Drawing a paralell with real life, how do people get things done when they are being ignored by the ones calling the shots? Riots, strikes, etcetera. Of course you cant do that ingame that's some runescape cringe thing, so in my eyes the only plausible way of actually getting things changed is by hurting their pockets.

Unless you have a better idea.

The devs use to look at the forums and take our feedback then eventually stopped. The devs don't even respond to our feedback anymore here or acknowledge it. They claim they look and listen to our feedback here but i dont really find evidence of them doing that anymore considering lately they seem to do the complete opposite of the feedback provided by the NA/JP/EU communities.

I have always heard they actually listen and interact with JP players on the JP forum, is that not the case anymore?

People underestimate their own power. If all those who were unhappy just... stopped paying. Things would change. For FFXIV and gaming in general. Yet we complain and continue to happily pay. Those in charge aren't going to feel bad that we're unhappy with the game so long as we continue to pay them. They're not going to suddenly find their morals and decide it's the right thing to do to listen to the players.

I view staying and complaining as a better option

Even if it does nothing I’ve spent a lot of time with this game and I feel like I should fight for it, if i just quietly leave sure they will miss my sub but then my voice gets replaced by another generic “1 button rotations on healers is too complex” limsa enjoyer and I don’t want that

Even if I’m screaming into the void it feels better than doing nothing

The answer is there are too many trolls on this forum who just want to change the game to benefit themselves and not others.

Well we can agree to disagree then.

I just can't see how supporting their decisions by giving them money while aimlessly complaining on the forum to deaf ears will change anything.

It can make you feel better... but will accomplish nothing.
