*cough*
I heartily support that, while it's fine to have 2 options for a glamour item based on gender, either gender should be able to wear either option. I believe this is what Yoshida meant when he talked about removing genderlocked gear. However I am very firmly against specific, iconic NPC gear - such as Krile's hooded cloak or Aymeric's fabulous robe/coat/armour thing - being available for both genders. Honestly I'd prefer it wasn't available for players at all because it's so character specific I find it very immersion breaking. But since it is, please keep it to the appropriate gender for the NPC involved. And, yeah, I'd definitely prefer it to be female Lalafell only too, but clearly they won't do that. So I can see why it's regarded as very unfair in this regard.
It annoys me - not kidding, it really does annoy me - when I find myself in a dungeon with a WAR in a maid's dress. How CAN YOU POSSIBLY THINK you can fight ferocious monsters wearing little more than an apron and a hair band, and don't you dare expect me to keep you alive if you can't be bothered to wear plate armour to soak up some of the ferocity. Yeah, I know, the glamour doesn't ACTUALLY matter but I prefer my imaginative life not to have to deal with this much strain on a daily basis!
TL,DR: wear situation appropriate gear, folks! Please ....
We can get rid of gender locks as soon as they add in the female equivalents of all of the male protagonist gear they've added for veteran rewards and events.
I'd rather they spend their resources on content vs making someone happier about who they are/want to be. If you require pixel designs to be content in life, there is a bigger problem than an outfit not being usable. It's a waste of development resources that have to be pulled from elsewhere in order to redo all those models.
I have asked the same thing and I still don't know.
People are really this heated to have costumes on a video game unlocked, like
it would actually harm them in some way. Then you get some replies about RL/Game
which makes no sense since I highly doubt you're a Roe lady and I'ma potato, that guy over
there is a cat man or anyone can summon a dragon in real life. If anything, out of norm
stuff makes more sense in a fantasy game....I can't wrap my mind against any of this haha.
Right! I think the same way, why waste time trying to re-do everything and let them choose who gets what its their game, I mean people will say oh but I pay for it, yeah you pay for the game to play it not the person who creates the clothing SE pays that guy and not all your whole 13 or 16 bucks decides cause there are people like me who don't care for that type of stuff.
Sure would it be cool for some armor sets the answer is yes.
I don't think girl bikini's, dresses and other things are meant for guy characters sorry I just don't agree to that they can bring up the cloud thing, they can bring up its not fair, though I don't care to see that content.
I mean some girls play guys if you want bikini's and panties and bra's and dresses and other girly things go make a girl character they already exist.
I am not hating either just they could be adding other stuff to the game wasting data on that I even feel they wasted data on housing also but that is just me.
Also to the person who said against more options we aren't against more options, we just don't want that option.
I am not against girls having some cool male outfits but I am against males getting female clothing the ones I listed why?
You don't want to play a girl but want to dress like a girl defeats the purpose.
Also to mention they wasted their time making bunny outfit for males and I barely see anyone wearing which is a waste of resources after all that asking on the forums for it and finally getting what they wanted and nobody uses it.
so I totally get what you say. Some will say they do but very small %
