I agree I want to be excited about the game I want to know that they are not only focused on 2.0 but are also focus about pushing content for their current subscribers and when I read the letter from the producer I expect something a producer of a video game would put in such letter. Not a happy new year's letter.

And yes yoshi is a human but so am I and I want to play a fun game I want to believe in this game but it's getting more and more harder to feel proud or supportive of a game where the communication from the producer has very little info about the game itself.

Look... we are all here to play a game... but if the game is not being made and no info is being communicated to us then I can't! I can't! understand how we are not allowed to question it.

It's not the fact that someone else disagreed with another person but HOW they disagreed.

In case out of the 1.3k worth of posts you have made, you must have seen this? I know you and I have argued over posts before and it's 90% the same thing, I just don't like the tone or words written when you agreed or disagreed; plain and simple.

It may not be intentional, you seem to be able to write well what you're thinking but others here are not. As someone mentioned above that, if the obligatory whiners on the forums would simply just say, "Hey sucks you guys aren't feeling well and THANK YOU, (just saying it once in a while is nice to show some respect for the people WORKING FOR YOUR 10$ a month) but I was a bit bummed there was no news on the game; any idea when the next Letter will have some new game info? Thank you." See how much better that sounds? Now if someone I may be standing with currently blazes in there to "troll" that post, I'll stand with you all and defend them because there's no need. It was well written showed respect and gratification to even still HAVE a game to play and let's Yoshi know some people are looking for more substance right now; especially since people are paying.

I enjoyed the letter. Thanks for sharing what the dev team did over the New Year.

I completely agree. I wish Yoshi all the health, money, and happiness in the world. He's definitely best thing that happen to XIV. However, business is business. You are charging me money, you sold me a product you want me to use, you want me to tell my friends about the game and convince them to play it. Isn't that the case? Or people are so naive that SE will forever support a game that has 12.5k players. What is that a 1% of what 2.0 needs to sell? As much as the white knights here will defend SE and tell people to shut up and wait, we're the ones doing them a favor being interested at all in the success of the game. Releasing a post yet again without an ounce of concrete info is just bad all around.

Nobody is going to get what they want and this is how it works.
We all think different so it's imposible to pretend that all the people have to be happy with the letter or the game stuff.
But I also think that you can express that you dislike something, without being rude or using words like "crap", etc.

I personally enjoyed the letter and I wish you all a happy new year! :)

Eh, I agree with some of the posts in here. Personal information should be left on networking & blog sites (as that is specifically what they are there for.) For a "Producer's Letter" which generally houses information as far as game development & progress is concerned, I would want to leave that specifically for that purpose. A lot of players view the lodestone for drops of new game information & lore, and when a post is used under the guise of information only to be shown as a personal letter, it's understandable as to why people would get touchy.

It's unfortunate he has been un-well, but using that as the basis for a letter is a cop-out when the playerbase hasn't seen much significant information since payments commenced. Especially when there are large issues to address (server mergers, 1.21, payment information, etc.) I'd rather he put off the letter for another week and include something tangible that we, as the paying playerbase, deserve.

No one said you can't. You can do w/e you want but so can others.

SE asked us for feedback but feedback usually does not entail BASHING the producer of the game or the company itself. Again it comes down to how you question it. Pretty sure 99.9% of us STILL playing and paying now are adult enough to express ourselves with some dignity and as I tell my 9 & 5 year old, using our words " " and not emotions though words. If you feel that strongly about it by all means express yourself just try saying it with some cuth. ;)

You assume simply because Yoshida doesn't post about the game in particular or had a new years party (pretty sure every company has a new years party, no matter the nation) that the "game isn't being made."

If you recall when Yoshida posted about his work hours you'd know that's far from the case lol.
