And have you considered the players who can't play on max settings? Do you realize how much better these optimized graphics are going to be for those people compared to what they are playing now?

In case you didn't understand what I'm saying: "I believe the graphics in that screenshot look infinitely better than the current XIV."

I can't believe you and the rest of you people thinking it look better Fine it look better in the sense of other games in the market but ffxiv now detail and realism win 2.0 any day of the week. optimized graphics? they could have made it work with the new tool and stay with the same look and added more lighting i don't understand why it have to look 100% diff.

I not saying it look bad it look fucking sweet i just waste over 1year and got to like the type of look of ffxiv now i think that my issue with it -.- just to switch over to more of a western type just saying i think all of us waste a lot of time and money just to play FFXIV i'm sure people waste more to play at higher setting and with the new system i can even max out the setting but just enjoy the type of look we had now that all :( the new one just look like a downgrade from now that all i'm saying it look nice but just see blah over now and talking about the Char not not the area i don't mind if it look like that just the char is what i'm little worry about,.

@Isaaru why did we not read from the files?

The graphics are a improved tremendously, denying this is just silly.

The art style has changed, and whether you like it or not both 1.0 and 2.0 engine will look exactly as in the pic artstyle wise.

And knowing that, I'll take 2.0 engine anyday. Those shaders are awesome.

There's no accounting for taste. Some will think it's prettier, others won't. Neither side is right or wrong because both are based on individual preference.

Back on topic: this would be a good question to ask yoshi and get answered once and for all. Is the WHOLE thing an actual gameplay screen cap or is there some artistic licensing going on in there? Plus what are those little dots on the bottom-right?

Yes 2.0 look more beautiful more rich color

But ffxiv now look more natural and i guess people find that dull looking and i can see that it does look very dull but can't they keep at least that natural look for our Chars :(

And really all they did it make it look more beautiful in rich color but playing this game for over 1year you get use to the natural look and that what they been selling us for 1year natural look and realism to change that now it like taking all that back for me.

It looks like SE is moving FF XIV to resemble their console games. One of the many great aspects that the Final Fantasy series provides is stunning visuals. The current FF XIV game does not at all reflect the artistic direction that Final Fantasty's typically display. I personally love the screenshot as it looks vastly more exciting than what we have today.

Can you tell me where in Yoshi's statements he said the graphics were worse?

He said currently the shader and effects is low. They are remaking that (make it better). Then he just said they added a function to limit it to 30dps if you choose... we have this now.

I don't understand where this info that its a downgrade is coming from?
