Eh, I'm just coming back after a bit of a break and I'm finding it rather difficult to take on mobs even at around my own level or slightly higher.
So far, soloing in the new dungeon at 16 (it was MUCH harder at 15, one level made a much bigger difference than I'd anticipated) on the bats I can get chain 1~2, sometimes 3 solo IF I'm lucky with evade/shield blocks (I swear I almost never block now compared to pre-patch...). Now that I'm within 2 levels of the next big weapon, I should probably try to get that Brass Spatha but even so combat feels a lot slower than before.
It's probably the lack of physical levels though - before, I was physical level 40-something but only GLA 15 so I was mowing stuff down with impunity :) now it feels like much more of a struggle taking on an even match.
Weirder still is the enemies won't always chain... when I was taking on Dodo's out near skull valley, I attempted to chain some R15's (I was 15 at the time as well) but got no EXP chain bonus despite killing them quickly enough. These bats on the other hand chain no problem, so I'm wondering if there's a bug in that regard with certain enemies?
I'm just curious about how it's been for others. To me, at least, I seem to be much weaker than before (really, really hate the stupid-low block rates - I miss manual guard and just reducing damage straight up...) and I'm wondering if it's just that I don't have the right gear (wearing lv 12~15 gear mostly), if GLA got nerfed, if it's because I'm solo or what. (Speaking of which, why the hell is everyone on Figaro so damned anti-social?)
