There's a difference, you realize? Her opinion isn't suggesting that a type of person should be treated unfairly. You can't fight "Hate" with nice language, you have to point out "why" treating anyone as "Inferior" is wrong no matter what political light you try to shed on it.
It's like you're trying to contrive the argument and tell them "Religious people can say being Gay is wrong, but you're not allowed to tell them that their beliefs are wrong."
I can tell that you're trying to be diplomatic, and I appreciate it but the honest answer is, there's no diplomatic answer for this. It's like stabbing someone in the stomach, and when you ask why it upset them, you say "If you bring up the stab wound than you're just being hateful."
