You have to go back a few pages, but a community rep replied to this thread saying that there would be an announcement in “late August,” which would be sometime this week if all goes according to plan.

I've had problems with the graphical update since it dropped. It completely ruined my character.
The first is BEFORE the Graphical update -- The Second is AFTER the graphical update

posting an image from this thread which highlights an issue with current face 1 male viera, where the nose smudge face option is a weird brownish colour, while before it was just darker than the chosen skin colour. it looks fine on lighter and brown skintones, but looks very odd on darker and more greyish ones. i'd like to see it reverted to the previous colour if possible :')

Nothing about those two faces are the same.

I want to thank everyone for the detailed feedback they've been providing. With me, I could tell Square Enix was in the ballpark but couldn't articulate what was "off."

It's my hope we will see a new update to the character models by the end of August. Players deserve nothing less than excellent work from the developers.

It was quoted on the previous page. The rep said to expect an announcement in "late August", so the time is nigh.
