Remember to take the points from dye into account.
I think Linen Smock is a 1 star item and if dyed dark brown it becomes 3 star.
Artisan Apron is 2 star undyed, dyed to 4 stars.
And the Jackcoat is a 1-star, dyed with not best color to 2 stars. His was Raisin Brown while best color is Dark Brown.
1-star pretty much is any item, so it doesn't matter which item.
Same thing with Werewolf Ears and Iron Sallet. Both are 1-star, upped to 3 dyed.
Those are 1 star items I think, dyed with correct color they give 3 stars.
(2 points for having something + 3 points from dye = 5 points -> 3 star, because 3 star = 5-6 points)
@Ice Acolyte
indeed i forgot to mention that sry!
A Botanist option for anyone without Lucis tools, it should work with any class or job!...
Note: Master Botanist's Ring didn't get gold so it's not just any "Master" ring!...

If it works like people have speculated, a total of your scores each week to unlock vendor items at certain milestones, then I don't feel so bad about missing points here and there any more since every point matters. Got 97 today using the correct gear but only normal dye; didn't buy the rare dye.
Haha thank you!
Screw me the rules, WHMs are chefs now.

Using the 100 point outfit, but with Kobold brown instead of the Dark brown dye will net you 99 points.
Agreed. Seems like they're going to be mixing things up each week so eventually there should be a theme where you can make 100 with little extra effort.
I had already decided after the first week just to focus on getting 80 each week. I got lucky this week, I already had everything but the mustache and Augmented Galleykeep's Whites (I had non-augmented) so I upgraded my Whites and spent $3 on the mustache for peace of mind so I don't have to worry about 100 again.
As acolyte said, it's time to start hoarding the general purposes you get. I'll save them up for friends so when there's a week they can get 100, with luck I'll have the dye they're missing.
Speculation on what gets ~3 stars: Perhaps items in the same-ish category as something that is BiS somewhere else count higher, such as werewolf ears this week, same category as the BiS hands.
My husband just got gold with an HQ Culinarian’s Apron dyed Dark Brown for anyone looking for options.
What is the next best option for head after the Mustache?
Saints Beard is 2*
Wolf Ears are 1* (according to this thread)
Non-CUL(I did it as MNK)
Main weapon dyed Raisin Brown
Mustache dyed Charcoal Grey(Gold)
Seems like any chest dyed Dark Brown is 3-star(I used the Valentione's Apron)
Werewolf hands dyed Wine Red(Gold)
Linen Survival Halfslops, the non-dyeable cheap version(Gold)
Any boots dyed Raisin Brown
Any ring(1-star)
Filled out the remaining accessory slots with blue quality items
Scored an 85.
Whew! I barely squeaked by as a Monk with 80! I didn't buy anything this time. I just gathered for appropriate colors and used what I had. Cheapest victory yet!
Spring shirt looks ugly from behind. It has a deep V-neck on the back. Long hair should cover it, though. Ain't buying that thing!
You don't need to get 100 on all to get next items. I've gotten 84, 95, 100 & 80 so far and I've gotten new things every time. You just got to get past 80 I guess.
There has to be more to it than that, because I got an 82 for this one, but don't have any new items.
Considering the text says that "regular challengers" will receive additional prizes, and I skipped the first week and last week's, I wonder if there's some cumulative score that you need to reach, or if you have to participate a certain number of times for different prizes. Hopefully the prizes repeat occasionally or hold over, or it's going to be another disappointment for people who didn't start playing years ago.
My husband has a theory that is a cumulative score to unlock those itens. Like for example, let's considerate the Spring Set has a "340 pts" within their code, once you get the cumulative of 340pts you will be able to see this specific set. So this is the reason I might not be able to see in some alts for skipping some weeks or for not having a good amount of cumulative points/score to unlock that specific item when most of players unlocked.
Fake Mustache (Ash Grey) - Gold
Culinarian Apron (Undyed) - 3 star.
Werewolf Arms (Undyed) - Gold
Linen Survival Slops - Gold
Master Culinarian Ring - Gold
Total 81, 79 without the Ash Grey dyeing.
Tool: Chantico Lucis (Raisin Brown)
Head: False Moustache (Charcoal Grey)
Body: Augmented Galleykeep's Whites (General Purpose Dark Brown)
Hands: Werewolf Arms (Wine Red
Legs: Survival Halfslops (Raisin Brown)
Feet: Any (Raisin Brown)
Ring: Master Culinarian's Ring
Neck, Earring, Wrist, Other Ring: Any
Perfect 100
I've gotten new items every time I've done it and have bought the Spring Shirt, even after scoring so low the first time that the NPC said I pretty much "shat" all over the event. This recent fashion report scored only 86 (my highest score so far), and the one prior was 81. I don't remember what I got the second time through, tbh. So you can still get items, even if you didn't do well.
I'm guessing that the next item from the shop will unlock at 500. Though if something unlocks next week, it might be noticed by people who has 400+ cumulative.
If anyone still needs a last minute set this might help! My boyfriend didn't have the crafting lucis and didn't want to get the galleykeep chest piece so we made him a set to get to 80. It still uses most of the items though:
Weapon: Any dyeable weapon (he was on samurai) - dyed raisin brown
Head: False mustache - dyed charcoal grey
Body: Linen Smock (lvl 40 all classes chest piece, vendor bought) - dyed dark brown
Hands: Werewolf hands - dyed wine red
Legs: Survival Halfslops - dyed raisin brown
Feet: Anything dyeable - dyed raisin brown
Ring: Any
With this set up (all the correct dyes) he got an 89 on samurai.
I went with culinarian since I was really close to getting the ring and the weapon was easy to get but went budget/stuff I had with the other things and got lucky. Maybe someone already tried them?
Tool: Chantico Lucis (Raisin Brown)
Head: High House Cloche (Charcoal Grey) 3*
Body: Ironworks Apron of crafting (sunset orange) 2*
Hands: Werewolf Arms (Wine Red) Gold
Legs: Sailor Brais (Raisin Brown) 3*
Feet: (raisin brown)
Ring: Master Culinarian's Ring - Gold
Got 81
Head I tried for fun and and legs are just what I had on last time so I'm happy they gave me the extra boost without having to spend any scrip.
Has there been any new items the past two weeks? I've not seen anything since the Dress Hanger and Coat Hanger were added? I've been playing every week too. Though this week I just did it with my current glamour and "shat" all over the theme for a 56.
Extreme Survival Slops are a very cheap alternative if you don't want to get 100. Using those plus the Saint's Beard instead of the False Mustache and an unaugmented Galleykeep's Apron got me an 88.
Yes, there was a new glam item in Kasumi's shop this time. Spring Shirt I think it was.
Spent some change on the right-ish dyes and made it up to 78. Had CUL ring, so kinda locked me into junk for most slots, and no 60s, so no ideal options for main hand or chest.
I get it, HW onward started putting more effort into unique appearances and all, seems like. The outfit options pre-60 aren't terribly imaginative. But it's still frustrating as a long time slow-progress player, having content so easily accessible feel so punishing for not having greater access to options.
But, oh well. I suppose it's also kinda good to be more rewarding to players that have dedicated so much time and effort on their glamour wardrobe.
