Aye, I'm in the EU.... There's one thing that dawned on me though; Miqo'te are actually midgets. Their breasts look bigger because of how small they actually are. I thought my Miqo'te was taller than she was, but upon converting height to UK standards this is what I got;

Shortest: 149.7cm = 4ft 9cm
Tallest: 162.2cm = 5ft 3cm

Taking this into consideration, Miqo'te are probably ranged between AA to CC, from lowest to highest chest size. If we're to take anatomy into consideration, and not an abnormality in growth.

Au'ra females only range between 146.0 (4ft 7cm) and 158.5cm (5ft 2cm) shortest to tallest, making them more than likely between an A cup and D cup, considering their natural height and shape.

Lalafels are prepubescent and don't have breasts, even at the highest setting.

Remember that bra sizes are different in different regions. Depending on where you're posting from you could all be correct! (Oh, I typed this too slowly.)

I'm fine with the current body shapes (if asked whether I wanted more content or a butt slider, well, I'd pick the content, and I'm happy with the way my package looks in the right gear) but if, say, they were adding a new race and could easily adjust the outfit models to accommodate curvier girls and guys, why not? Completely agree. Nobody is advertised as being 'human' so the issue of real world human proportions (for whichever genetic grab-bag of traits you personally consider normal) aren't really relevant. Variety is always nice if it can be accommodated.

I don't like the implication that what other people wear can ruin the game for people, or that men/women with thicker bottoms should be made invisible. I doubt the swimsuit-clad tanks feel their day is ruined when someone shows up smartly dressed in full plate; it's only fair to extend that open-mindedness back the other way. If people want to dress up as giant moogles, pigs, clowns and dancers then they should go for it. Nobody bats an eyelid when the NPCs do it.

Ahh, yes. I may be mistaken, but one of my EU friends told me that the bra sizing is different depending on where you go. So we may be talking about the same sizes, but in more relative terms (based on our countries. :))

And that's another good point. Miqo'te are the second shortest race (lalas being shortest). That would definitely affect perception. :) We solved Blues Clues Eorzean Bra Edition! /tosses confetti.

Im not saying we need to do away with petite bodies but the option would certainly be lovely.

Indeed. The easiest way to solve this argument is to take any sizes in the game and convert them into the perspective of Asian culture, anatomy and sizes. So a Miqo'te is pretty much the generic size of an adult, Japanese female.

A quick Google of this years height statistics for Japan shows that, on average men and women are this height;
Men: 172 cm (5 ft 7 1/2inches)
Women: 158 cm (5 ft 2inches)

This would make Miqo'te roughly the same average height of a Japanese woman. I couldn't find a good statistic on the average size of a Japanese woman's breasts though, one that's Government run that is. There was a health blog though that had this to say on the average breast size: "Japanese women come in between a B and C (US A or B). The survey notes certain parts of Japan have unusual concentrations of D and E-average women (US C or D)"

In UK terms this would come out as;
US A = UK B
US B = UK C
US C = UK D
US D = UK DD

So, from what above says, that's pretty much what Miqo'te sizes convert to in UK and US terms.

I'm 5 feet tall (about average for a miqo'te) and an A cup. I can promise you that the in-game breasts don't just 'look' bigger because of how small the characters are. SE does everything in proportions, so more petite models would have a smaller chest overall to fit with the proportional restrictions of the character itself. The reason they do this, I think, is to keep the outfits as uniform as possible across races. I personally do not think miqo'te's smallest size is a AA. But, again, I didn't choose the smallest size (probably somewhere in the middle), so I'm not sure. I guess we could take screenshots in character creation...

Lot of the races in this game are very oddly proportioned ^^ Although they are all nice in their own way..it is still funny to think about lol
