Are you satisfied with this game?

I really don't know, like I said, I do too much stuff outside the game to wrap my head around how someone can already be in a position to say that after 2 months, the game's not good.

I never seen so many people who dont like a game complain about it. I played WoW and GW for a combined 2 months than I moved on, I just didnt care for it. Dont worry about if there is enough to do in an MMORPG to keep you occupied. If your not satisfied play something else.

When FFxiv becomes boring to me, I'm not gonna cry about it on SE forum, I got life to worry about. People cant hate the game that much if they're on the forums.

Still too many glitches and server problems. There's still some trimming to do with most dungeons and the "Duty Futher". Unless it's working as intended, simple systems be left alone. More in-server party finder. FATE is making players less inclined to help with dungeons.

Too many emergency maintenances and weird updates. I want this MMO to get better but introduce some OPEN dungeons, take away the penalties from "dooty finder". Keep some areas server-specific, why does everything have to be cross-server accessible?

I just had to re-log into the game because the game just stopped working during a Conj-class quest. Error 90K! >.>

Despite this game having one the most limited 'end game' I have seen in some time; I still enjoy it. Right now, this game is lacking and would have been much better off if they held back 3 months and launched with 2.1 instead. Basically...it's like a jig saw puzzle but with pieces missing. ie CK, HMs, and PvP to help alleviate the boredom. Launching a game with a single lvl 50 4 man dungeon is kind of perplexing if you ask me. Sure they bandaided it by recently changing WP but that will only go so far. Anyways, I do hope 2.1 saves the day....until then, it's 2+ months of AK. /sigh.

I love the story, its a very visually eye pleasing game. but being new to FF games I wish they came out with a manual whether its online or in book form. if it wasn't for my friends in game I would be lost on many aspects of the game.

And you probably also joined when the game first came out, when the community is generally far more friendly as a whole, and accepting of newbie mistakes. I joined when it had been out for probably a good year or so, when everyone is suppose to know their jobs and new players are rare. That part had everything to do with the part that you quoted, so electing to keep it out is misquoting me entirely. I am not a fan of MMOs where you can solo literally everything. I like a mix of stuff I can do. I hate being forced to group constantly, but I also hate being able to solo all the content. So I'm very glad they have dungeons as part of the story requirements, but that grouping isn't a requirement for everything.

I love the game, but yes it does need more content. But we will get it. The story isn't as good as CoP story yet, but CoP also was released years later, and like already said here, FFXI at the start also din't had that much, it grows over the years, and ARR will to if people give it the chance.

I play this game in a very social way, A lot of time I spent with talking and doing crazy stuff with the LS, that stuff hasn't always to do with leveling/endgame content.
Also I don't play every day. I play mostly in the weekend, I guess.

I have 1 class at 50, doing quietly her tome hunt, but I take my time with it. I don't understand the rush people feel, to get as soon as possible, with best gear and stuff. Didn't even do all the end game dungeons, and fights yet.
I am slowly leveling my other classes also. And recently started with a bit of crafting and gathering...
To me it feels there is so much to do...

Yeah totally. Like most dungeons having a HM for 50 AND alterations + a fully functional Raid, a 2nd one about 1-2m later, PVP BGs and some OworldPVP, quests to 50 AND proper dynamic events, plenty of gear sets that you could use and 1 whole usefull craft (ALC).

Um sounds about like what we do here (Fatesfatesfates -> Akakakakakak/wpwp -> BC, crafting for crafters, gathering for crafters). Yah same amount really! :D

While I know I am wrong, I believe Rift's launch was THE best, shame the game itself was derative and boring.

Imo, it feels rather incomplete/rushed in some areas.

I think this game has better sound and graphics than 11. The environments are more immersive as a result, and I think 14 does a really good job bringing its world to life.

I agree with you it has less depth though, especially in its combat. The game moves far too quickly to keep up with what it has to offer also. And there is way too much soloing and not enough incentive to play in groups outside of the duty finder.

So I agree with you on some things, disagree with you on others.

I think rather this game is successful or not will depend largely on how pro-active they are at adding new content and more game systems for players to sink their teeth into.
