from that art itself, I'm really liking top center, then it's almost a close grapple between bottom right and bottom left.
I'll have to see bottom left more closely in the Benchmark to see if it just barely falls short of bottom right.

Regardless though, I hope they've given us alot to play with.

Just so people know - FFXIV twitter did confirm the benchmark has the hrothgal's character creator. I am so excited and nervous to test it out tomorrow. I am hoping that we have fur patterns and highlights like the males. I am also wistfully hoping that hairstyles aren't locked to faces and will actually allow for highlights in the racial hair and not follow the male limitations. Fingers crossed. I want to be able to adapt my characters colors and tones as best I can. Will be downloading to my crappy laptop. The CC runs (barely) when I did it for Endwalker. As long as I can play around with the hrothgals that is all I care about.

I would add to this that I hope that male hairstyles got de-coupled from faces! They already showed a picture of a Hrothgar character with a hair of a different face in a live letter + all Bozja NPC have them decoupled

Fingers crossed, and as GTK0HLK said earlier, may each of us will find what we were looking for and enjoy the beauty of benchmark in it's fullest.

edit: forgot to mention, but Wuk Lamat really has beautiful hair. Her scarf thingy? Turban?.. wasn't bad, but actual look gives her more feral vibe. Love it! Almost sure, however, that this will be her unique point tho.

They've done that like, 3 times by now and it's always a false alarm, but now that the race is finally 'complete' there's a possibility it' true.

Yugiri has had a face/horn combination unavailable to Au Ra players for years, so I wouldn't get my hopes up.

Oh how I hope so! T_T Finished the story in Zadnor just a day ago, and I'm still deeply impressed. Would looove as many options as possible, the unic character's appearance surely worth of it; within reason and game style, of course, but you understand what I mean.

Seems like female au ra has access to the WoL/D DT man bun hairstyle. so I'll have to see if other races have it as well.

Tail choices sure are interesting I guess.
with how binary they are.

chest is also about as you expect from a toned/lean.

Terrible waste of time and resource as expected, 5 hairstyles lolmao.

Repeating the exact same mistake as before and locking hairstyles to specific faces is utterly unacceptable.

Another thing about the Attack and Damage voice, hit it multiple times and it will eventually cycle though more then one option so you can hear all the options for them.

She grew on me as she battled her way through the Benchmark maximum. honestly the gap between it, and high(desktop) with some tweaks wasn't too far off.

Well this is what I came up with so far, kind of sad there are no scar options for any of the faces (seems to be a thing with the newer female characters :/ ) Might mess around with this a little bit more later on. at least she looks good with the heterochromia which had me a little worried.

I would say it really depends on how busy the face is, if you have a lot going on (Tattoos, Face Paint, Multiple eye colors, and etc.) you might want to skip on the whiskers. Looking at the two faces you have I would say the whiskers work since the face isn't too busy and not a lot of color variation making it more interesting. Might look okay on slightly darker fur but at the same time it might stick out too much would have to mess around with it to see for sure.

That being said, I noticed the hair color doesn't always quite match the fur pattern color, I hope that's just cuz it's still in development rather than an oversight, let alone deliberate choice.

Ok so I got to messing around instead of going to sleep ^^' and kind of want some outside opinions but after creating a Lost and Helion I'm thinking I might go more towards the Helion option at least for this face choice since it looks more interesting with the facial markings.

I'm sold on this face+hair combo but still working out the face marks.

I am in cat heaven.

Face locked gear is super shitty though. Was hoping they'd noticed by now this was a horrible idea to begin with and would use the opportunity of a graphical redo to fix this in both guys and gals.
All devs should be forced to play Hrothgar for a month, maybe they would stop considering making them technically sound an afterthought.

That said... Hrothgals got patterns, they got fangs, they got fancy hairstyles...

Sigh. My PC choked on the Endwalker benchmark, but at least it would sorta load. DT just encounters a fatal error and refuses to run at all. And I'm not dropping the cash to upgrade just for the benchmark, so I guess I'll have to wait.
