Don't worry, when everyone has left the instance it gets deleted by itsself, you don't have to wait around :)
If Kallistra is breaking the rules, is he breaking them in such a matter that personally affects any of us? I agree that it might not be kosher, but why is everybody up in arms? If it's really causing such drama, just block him or ignore him. He isn't harassing anybody. Regardless, I have seen countless posts fashioned similar to his when he speaks on Selli's behalf (my FC mate had a run; my boyfriend was in a run where; et cera). I know for a fact one person who posts stories on behalf of one of their friends every so often, and that friend is banned. Regardless, while the drama was salty and fun for a bit, it's run its course. I think a lot of people would like to just get back on topic. And that will be all I acknowledge of it.

Did a WC with my static mate today (the rest of my static runs later on Tuesday but I can't, because work). Shout-out to the AST I was paired with (myself on AST as well!). We naturally synergized our cards and never ONCE overlapped over each others' cards. It was pretty much 100% uptime on raid-wide Balances and Arrows. I can't remember your name, but I applaud you for making my WC a little bit more enjoyable.
While the AST was amazing to heal with, our DPS... were a pain on the final boss. All three of our BLMs eventually finished with Brink of Death, due to not dodging the half-room wide haircut. Our bard never played any songs, even when I was almost dry on mana after raising said BLMs (also, Foes? There were at least six BLMs in the entire 24-man. Siiigh.) Said bard also got Weakness on last boss, and almost died multiple times if I had not prioritized him when saving somebody from haircuts (in hopes of mana song). They might've died at the last moment and finished off with Brink, can't remember. Our NIN kept overwriting my static's mate Storms' Eye, which bugged me personally but wasn't a really big deal - atleast he didn't die at all over the entirety of the run.
Got my materia for the week, now up to six Grade V's for next tier. My static mate got his glamour tank pants, now all that's left is him getting his boots, which he'll grind out next week. (lol).
Gawd, let it die. Kall's gon do what he's gon do and he can do it all he wants unless the ban him for it, let the mods do their own job.
Just had a run of ARF where the BRD nitpicked my friend's DRG rotation to death. Now, my friend doesn't main dragoon, is a REAL fresh 60 running this for eso gear and she's not the type to get defensive so she just joked it off, but they kept asking for disembowl with sad emojis. Finally I was like, "hey look, it's not savage, alright? It's an ARF farm run for esos." But they just wouldn't let it go. And then I was like, "hey, am I complaining about foes?" because not a single song was sung that day my friends.
w/e Got the clear and the esos, happy as a clam. :)
That was literally me in ARF today xD
I was in there on my BLM, and we had this BRD who absolutely refused to sing Foe's Requiem D:
When her TP got low, she sang TP song for herself, and for the rest of the run, constantly had MP song on despite everyone being at full MP,
she even used Warden's Paean on herself for the final boss, but it was like she was afraid of having a strong allergic reaction to Foe's..x.x
At first I explained very friendly that MP song was a waste and I'd be thankful for Foe's (and the WHM too who was DPSing nicely),
but after getting constantly ignored for the entire run I gave up and just went with the emote route to at least make it obvious that I was not happy with that x)
(whenever we were standing around waiting for the elevator to go down and stuff like that)
/sulk
/sad
/cry
/disappointed
/em sighs.
/huh
Yes I can be pretty annoying ._.
It might not be Savage but we all farmed that stupid dungeon to death already, even 30 seconds less per run is already worth complaining about, especially when it's something so easy to use :/
*still pouting*
This reminded me of the two bards in WoD last night. Our party consisted of monk, 2 goons, 2 bards. DPS overall across all three alliances was pretty bad, so bosses became a really long drawn out fight. I'm guessing most of the alliance were new, since had had 6 sproutlings in ours alone. Three of us ran out of TP, even after using invigorate. We repeatedly asked for army's paeon, and not a single one deigned to play it for us. So there you have it, 3 DPSes standing around with zero TP, throwing out skills as it recovered. Only when the boss went down, did BOTH of them play paeon. *facepalm*
Saw someone looking for help to clear Final Steps of Faith in Party Finder and decided to join as WHM. The last time I did the instance, it was very smooth, so I thought this would go just as well.
There were 3 first timers. At least 1 had done no preparation. My co-healer. A scholar with just a little over 12k HP. Other first-timers were a Dragoon and Black Mage.
The scholar died to every mechanic while he was alive.
Other DPS was too low to clear add phase first time.
Second time we tried add phase, I managed to keep tanks alive just using regen, medica II, Tetra, and Benediction, Assize, and then just spammed Stone III with Presence of Mind to help DPS. Just barely cleared the phase.
Still, Scholar dying to every mechanic. I debated which was more efficient, using MP to Raise them OR saving my MP for healing.
I decided to raise the scholar because it was his first time and I would feel bad leaving them dead.
I raised him 7 times during the fight.
Even with Protect and Stoneskin, they still died to the unavoidable AoEs in 1 hit due to weakness debuff. It couldn't be helped.
For at least 75% of the fight, I was solo-healing.
I was surprised that basic Nidhogg can be just as hard or harder than extreme version.
Still, I felt a rush because I had to use every ability I had available and watching my Shroud of Saints Cooldowns, MP potion cooldowns, and Assize to keep enough MP.
It was a very invigorating fight and I'm happy I joined and helped their clear.
Unfortunately, some other people who joined were not happy because they thought it was Extreme version, not normal version.
(Although I don't know how they make this mistake. The name difference is clear.)
I55?
Hell, that's worse than the i95 rod I'm using on my black mage...
Though I refuse to go into higher than 50 content on it because I can't glamor a scepter onto a staff, and feel like it'd be inconsiderate to take it into higher...
I've seen, and heard of, occasionally joining in progress into an empty instance...
Not quite sure how that happens...
So, I'm a specialist at making a fool of myself - anywhere, any time, not just in FFXIV.
Long story short, I fell off during Ozma trying to raise another alliance's healer (who had, which I realised upon dying, all released)... The reason? I haven't been on my PS4 in at least a MONTH (I got banned from it), so that Dualshock feels really strange after a month of a 360 controller hooked up to my laptop, and I was making weird laps trying to get a feel for the Dualshock again before static stuff tonight.
Oops.
Granted, we wiped after that because we got double stacks twice...
A couple of weeks ago i met a mentor. No, THE MENTOR.
I got to do The Vault for MSQ progression. I did watch a guide beforehand, because i play tank and i don't want to get lost to mechanics and sudden adds. As soon as we load in the dungeon, i mention, that i'm new.
And then it started... This MENTOR marked all the priority targets, put ground markers to show me where to position pulls, gave me a couple advices on how to better use my skills, explained all the mechanics for first boss. When we got to the second boss, i ran headfirst and pulled it (because 90% of the groups i played with did want a tank to rush to the boss, turn him around and bend him over)... And then i notice that MENTOR and his friend are locked out.
"You rushed too fast while he was typing to explain mechanics, lol" - said that friend. I apologized for being too hasty, and mentioned that i did watch a guide, but i don't mind advices. And then that run (or, should i say, "lesson"?) proceeded as smoothly as ever possible.
Yes, THE MENTORS are real, i know that now.
On the other side, yesterday i got in the Vault with a mentor.
Cast: me as DRK, mentor as WHM, one BRD and one DRG. No "new player" message.
And so the show begins. After the initial buffs all went well until first pull. I used Salted Earth twice. Yes, the damage output was, well, not spectacular. At least my HP was OK all the time and enmity was high enough to not lose mobs. Yes, it was not so fast, but at least everybody is alive.
So with that humble pace we got to the first boss. That battle took very long time, but, at least we did not wipe, so it's OK. While we are checking the spoils of battle and roll for loot i did check the gear on DRG and BRD. Mostly 54 NQ items... with a couple of Ironworks jewellery. On both of them.
Well, i'm very patient person, so i decide to finish that run regardless of circumstances. Maybe they are just not so lucky with drops, whatewer.
At the second boss we wiped twice. First time because WHM got in AoE, second time because WHM got in AoE while rezzing fallen DRG, who decided to puch boss in the face and got smashed by his Overpower-like move.
And, finally, we arrived to the famous Ser Charibert and his fancy Horse Circus.
Initial rebuff, ready check, and then that mentor showed his knowledge. "Turn the MP song on" - said he to our BRD. And BRD rocked for him alone. Because there were no other characters who benefit from MP song, except Ser Charibert, who was apparently pleased with reduced DPS. We start to pound the boss, i'm trying to mitigate damage with all the skills at my disposal, somehow (very slowly) we get through orb phase. And then something hit the fan. My health is getting dangerously low, i chug on potions and look for healer. Where is our WHM? Oh, he is playing with horsies. And then i got a big flaming spit in the face lose my remaining 200~ HP.
Second try. All is the same, WHM is amused with horsies, but manages to survive and rez me after my arse is burned with another flame spit. Grit, Darkside, chug Ether, Provoke, Unmend, Dark Arts, enmity combo with Bloodbath... And then i'm alone, because, you know, hugging horsies is fun.
XXXth try. Living dead is indeed useful skill. If only a could somehow heal myself to full... Because, you know, we are here to play with horsies.
And, finally, united we stand strong before loot chest. I gave my commendation to bard. He died less than others and his songs did rock.
57 minutes of lvl 57 dungeon. Not bad.
I had a what-the-fudge-run last night on my goon. Levelling roulette, Dusk Vigil, me (the goon), whm, pld, blm. Before I continue, you guys know when you want to do something and you have feeling that tells you "no mate, don't do it, just don't"? Well, that will become relevant in a bit.
The pld died on almost every pull. Yes, even a group of 3 mobs, he would die on most of them. I'm not very good at gooning, but I do try to perform at least enough to keep buffs up and combo in position. The blm was aoeing just fine, things were dieing, that was not the problem. The problem was the whm. She just was jumping around and holying. When out of mp, she would just jump. When pld was about to die, she cured him in CS, so he would die anyways.
First time the pld goes "rip" and goes again. But after the first boss when he died again on trash for the same reasons, he (or the blm) voted a kick on her.
Now, I'm normally the one who starts a kick on players like this one. But this time I thought "hey, I'm gooning, I didn't die (well I did but just once), and I'm not the saviour of the innocent, so screw it, whatever". So I never started a kick on anyone this run. I actually wanted to kick everyone equally (it was just a matter of priorities or if I should just leave):
the pld would run off when mobs were half dead (not even about to die, no, half health), which made it hard for me to hit them, and he would just move them for the sake of moving them, not to dodge or anything, just move them up a fair bit for no reason, and after a while with that pattern I got a tad pissed off; the blm was always jumping too and having two jumpers made me feel a bit dizzy. The blm at least only jumped after a group was killed, I guess that's something (seriously what's with people jumping all the time?). So whenever there was a door to open or something to click, both blm and whm were always jump-jump-jump-jump-jump... When running through corridors they were again jump-jump-jump-jump... But then I had the feeling I mentioned earlier, like "don't do it, just don't". So I didn't.
And it was a good decision. I was opening Lodestone just to see of these guys were together, turns out the pld and the blm were from the same FC, and as I was typing the whm's name, the kick vote for the whm came through my screen. I clicked yes, not that it would matter but anyways. So another healer joins, we finish, get out, done. But yeah, a quiet unpleasant run.
Not quite DF, but joined a PF for open world content. 3 tanks, 1 heal, 1 dps. Out of the 3 tanks the one that tried running point (was using tank stance) was the one that was roughly ilvl 180 - 200. The other two tanks were 230s. DPS and healer 230s. Needless to say, chaos ensued in the aggro table.
Expert just now
There was a new bard to Hull HM. At the very beginning they mention that this is their first time which was 100% fine. The Cut-scenes before duns and before bosses in most of the new duns are short anyways so Im a bit indifferent to them watching the Cut-scene, unlike the Tank who kinda showed that they wanted to get on with it.
So throughout the dun, the Bard while new was doing good DPS so we pulled everything, ate the mobs like candy, it was pretty nice. Ate the bosses up, then we get to the Final Boss. Now here is where it happens...The Tank run in like Im sure many other tanks do and pull without giving 2 flying freaks about the others. The Bard was still in a cut-scene ( Which its not long at all. A few freaking seconds ) Bard gets locked out so guess what ? The effort by everyone to complete it in a timely manner is shat on as well as the Bard chance to do a new fight (Since being new) was taken away from him as he had to sit there and watch...all because A Tank can't practice freaking patience for a Few Seconds!! The Boss took way more than a few seconds to down since the Healer wasn't DPSing and the Tank was a PLD. All the Tank had to say once the Boss was pulled was "oops forgot it was your first time >_>" and at the end " sorry about that, force of habit ".
My Thought at the time
1) Bish! you in 1 instant flushed all the time saved by everyone's efforts throughout the Dun and locked the new guy out of a fight because you couldn't wait for a few seconds for everyone to get to the Purple line ? a few freaking seconds!
I just Thanked everyone in the end, and gave my Comm to the Bard because for being New, his DPS was nice and it sucked that he got that first time experience/enjoyment snatched from him like that.
Probably a common story and may not be a big deal to many, but still annoying as hell how some common practices of the community is outright crap towards others and how it can even backfire in some horrible ways. I'll be lying if I said I didn't love Speed-runs, but I also love people enjoying the game and the first time experience like I got to. Is losing a few seconds to wait really that detrimental ?
That's when recruitement is left open and the remaining player is leaving as you are loading into the instance.
If recruitment is halted and the last person leaves, the instances just dissolves :)
I'd generally agree with you, but in this instance, the tank obviously didn't do it out of spite to shave off a few seconds off a run,
and he even apologized about doing what he was used to do with a newbie-free party.
I think he is a bit unfitting as an example of the "I just want to speedrun things and will ignore everyone who is not ready for that on purpose"-type of tank.
Adventures on the alt: queued for Qarn normal for plot and it seemed at first like it would be a fairly standard run.
The pulls leading up to the first boss were totally standard. We even killed the Qarn Face in the first room, so dps was great. First boss was where it got exciting.
First the bard died to doom. SC raised them. Then the PLD and NIN died simultaneously to the next doom. So I slow raised the PLD and the BRD died because they had hate. I got the PLD up to full health and raised the BRD because I was gonna need mp. When the next bees appeared I had hate bc of all the power heals so I had to kite.
The PLD and BRD both got final sting so I had to heal exclusively instead of raising the NIN. Finally I got the poor NIN up then the PLD died again!!
But the boss was almost dead so they killed it and the PLD returned to avoid weakness. Narrowly avoided a wipe. The BRD didn't know the doom mechanic, it was their first time, but the PLD and NIN admitted they'd both just spaced out.
My FC leader's husband was doing PotD recently with 1 tank and 3 healers (3 scholars from what I gathered) through floors 11-20 and had quite an... interesting exchange. One healer was dealing damage without cleric stance and the other said that they were just there to heal. The tank pulled mobs 1 by 1 while only my healer's husband actually did damage in cleric stance.
When asked why the healer who was casting damage spells without cleric stance:
"don't you guys have cleric stance ?"
"no, its different on my server, hardly anyone uses that"
"lol for real? Oo"
"if 2 heals or more no cleric, even when 2. just how it is"
The kicker? P-healer is from Balmung and as you can see... My fc leader and her husband are from Balmung. We're all from Balmung. I never knew about this thing that healers on Balmung don't use cleric.
This is why Balmung has such a bad rap in duty finder T_T
I fear I might be turning into a DF horror story; I'm leveling up MCH and I'm proving to be entirely too fond of the Blank Shot button. Slavering cave worms the size of a town house that look like they can devour your whole party in one gulp? Apparently they can be sent pinballing into a corner of the room from a single Blank, much to the annoyance of all concerned. Except for me. Even as I type out a quick 'Oops' I'm secretly thrilled at sending monsters five times my size skidding backwards with one well placed shot.
On an unrelated note, does anyone know how to remove that annoying auto-attack chevron indicator thing? The one that covers up important buffs.
Been running Hullbreaker HM for the lore recently (really want my healer coat... I know I should upgrade some of my lower BRD stuff but damn... that coat) and it's been fine, until my last run last night.
I've been running as WHM, tbh for the quicker queues, all ok apart from the first time when I didn't realise that I was supposed to esuna the heavy debuff on the last boss and died like a very stupid thing... :(
Anyway, going through this run, was fine, could drop some decent dps and with pretty much just a regen on the tank up to the gorillas, although hadn't had a tank pull the 2 gorillas and tiger up to the other gorillas so had to concentrate on healing then but made it through. But then we got into the snail from ff6 thing boss...
Everyone was dropping the icebergs all over the place so we couldn't dodge the aoes, 1st wipe.
Let them know to try and keep them to one side so we can slide outta the way.
Tank and DRG get it, BLM so didn't... just stayed in his little circle thing the whole time and refused to move, never went into the puddles to mitigate megavolt etc... so I was a little miffed and kept an eye on him.
This guy NEVER cleansed his poison using the chests on the last boss. Again, refused to move out of Enochian at all. I think he managed 3 stacks at one point. Luckily didn't notice much difference and we got through but ugh... it just annoyed me :/
I get it, we all wanna keep our dps up when we're playing dps but sometimes you gotta move! >.<
Luckily the DRG more than made up for him by playing absolutely brilliantly & being nice in chat, so he got my comm.
I don't know if it's different on PC & PS4 but I have this problem too (still tinkering with my HUD to get it right) - debuffs go below the enemy health bar and buffs like protect and regen go above by default, when you've targeted and auto-attacking, the icon for it can cover up your buffs. It only really affects me at the moment when i'm on WHM and can't see if my medica 2 is running out until it disappears >.<
@Confidence_Tick - if you have a wireless mouse i'd recommend that to start adjusting your HUD, much easier. Find an enemy a little bit lower lvl than you that you can just auto attack while you move things around without dying :)
It gets addictive though... macros and everything :P

Are you not just defending this sub-par rotation because they are your friend? Disembowel is pretty basic in the rotation. Surely if you're friend is just learning the class, then standard advice like this is just what they need. By you "defending" them, they are not learning the class at all. From what you said, it doesn't sound like the BRD was being rude (there is no need for that, if they just calmly ask for disembowel I don't see how this is a bad thing)
Similarly, you should absolutely have asked the BRD to be playing foe. Outside of very specific scenarios, there's no reason for BRDs not to be playing foe. Even if it's just for healer dps, if no other song is going to be needed, then there's no point for the BRD to just sit on their MP. Perhaps they are learning also, and could've learnt had you asked them to play it
POTD tales
I trigger a frog mine (they are unmarked on that floor) and hop around as usual waiting for it to time out.
Meanwhile someone else trips a frog mine too and hop over to me and we both hop together and its the best moment I had in that dungeon xD
Another time there was a luring trap that brought out 4 minotaurs which almost wiped us, which is not that odd, but then 10 minotaurs spawned one after another and 7 additional ones were waiting in the transport room. There were also 2 that appeared as we traced our way back there o-o
Silver chest.
Frog trap on the way there.
Nope its a mimic ;-;
Hm... I think I know now what you mean, this is how I have my UI set up:

I've moved the status bar underneath my hp/mp/tp.

Edit: I changed my own name bar to red, so I can see myself better when in raids and camera at max distance.
I just finished my mentor roulette - got Tam-Tara NM with a thm, a pug and a cjn, so nothing to hard or anything. I'm on my level 60 paladin, well geared, so I barely need any healing to begin with and thats not going unnoticed by the healer who quickly begins jumping around me and running in circles between the two cures they have to cast on me during one pull. I ask them friendly to deal some damage instead of jumping around (frankly, that was freaking me out - having that little lala-brat jumping around me, doing nothing while everyone else was pulling their weight) and gte "but thats BOOOORING" as reply - great, I guess, if jumping around is so much fun for you, do it outside of the dungeon?! And actully contribute to the group effort inside one? (If a healer isnt comfy dealing damage, thats fine with me, I can understand that - but this one here... no. If you have time to jump around, you have time to cast aero)
I bite my lip, we progress through the dungeon without me saying another word and reach the last boss, that I quickly explain to the new puglist (kill imps etc.) and ask the healer again to help with killing stuff. Nope, healer wants to be funny, jump around the edge of the arena and answer my request with some "funny" replies:
[14:18](Vidu Moriquendi) if we're lucky our healer will help and pull their weight
[14:18](Healer) but im a lala i don't weigh much
[14:19](Vidu Moriquendi) nope, not lucky - healer wants to be "funny" instead of helpful
[14:20](healer) dude calm down its a level 16 dungeon
[14:20](healer) didnt know i had to tryhard in a leveling rou.. lol
[14:20](Vidu Moriquendi) now you do
[14:21](Vidu Moriquendi) its really not "trying hard" to throw in some Wind and stone instead of jumping around lol
...I know I'm sensitive here, but god having that lala jump around me was freaking annoying - they had several classes at 60 btw...
That's a good idea i'm gonna try that when I get home, sometimes it covers CS too on mine... It's hitting that balance between having everything you need and being too cluttered >.<
I went with purple as soon as I realised you could do that :P
I had the most awesome run of Tam-Tara NM yesterday. The party was myself on my WHM alt, BLM friend, arcanist friend and a random warrior.
First I was like "Oh no, not that dungeon again" - I really hate Tam-Tara, it's so boring and whenever I get it in roulette, I just hope it's over soon.
But well, after I cast Protect, the warrior pulls the two soldiers at the start... and runs off to pull more, a total of three groups. First I thought "Oh my God what are you doing I can't DPS and all I have to heal you is Cure and Swiftcast-Cure", but then I noticed how smoothly everything was dying. Dots, Fire II's and Overpowers were flying around, sometimes the warrior lost aggro on a single mob for about a second, she used the one defensive CD the warrior has at this level whenever it was available, and overall she took only slightly more damage than in a normal pull, so I even had time to DPS. She never stood around randomly, everyone was on point and so we finished the dungeon in 13 minutes.
It was just perfect :')
Frontlines Roulette.
Someone attempted to lead us.
http://i.imgur.com/32OJ07G.png.
Key word is "attempted".
EDIT: Yes, it was the same person. Happened several times during the instance.
Except the DRG is not their main it's WHM. They play WHM perfectly fine and they only played DRG in ARF because I asked to heal. So yeah, I was defending her sub-obtimal rotation because she's not practiced on the class because she hardly plays the class and will continue to hardly play the class. And being manipulative with sad emojis is kinda rude, so yeah the BRD was being rude.
Disembowl was asked for and it was not used.
Foes was also asked for and IT was not used.
BUT the instance got cleared so whatever.
Oh hey that sounds like a BLM I had to deal with I think yesterday.
Also would not move for anything ever. The only reason I didn't have to concern myself with him getting poison stacks is that I had 100% Galvanize upkeep on everyone except the tank, so no poisons happening at all :P
EDIT: Oh hey just had another one. This is getting worrying.
Guess we'll have to agree to disagree. Context is everything and the BRD was being rather rude and annoying about it. There's a right way to ask and a wrong way to ask. Furthermore, the irony was in the BRD not letting the DRG off the hook for a so-called "basic" ability and simultaneously not playing their job very well either.
Went to Weeping City this morning and everything was fine until Forgall summoned his three minions. My internet just decided to stop receiving. I couldn't tell what was going on for half the fight. Everything just stopped and then a bunch of crap went off all at once and I was dead and missed the raise because it timed out or something. Got locked out of the face boss. Decided to reset my router. When I logged back in I was expecting to hear the Lavender Beds music but to my surprise I head the inside Ozma music. They didn't kick me. Which was awesome. I kept my cursor over the ping symbol and never received zero the entire time they were fighting Ozma. I r;0'D a couple of times during the Calo fight though. But nothing that bad. And it's been pretty bad recently. What is r;0 anyway? Resetting the router seems like it's just a bandaid fix at this point. My internet is fine outside of the game.
Yea context is everything. And has been said, tone is next to impossible to convey over text. And people are very, very defensive and no matter how you phrase will almost always take it the wrong way. I've found it best to not bother giving advice in DF unless they ask.
Indeed, I was in a Weeping City run last night where my alliance's tank's delivery turned a lot of people upset. Something along the lines of quitting your jobs to be window wipers (since we had a wipe on Forgall and a wipe on Weeping city).
People didn't take too kindly and so we wiped a second time because alliance chat was going crazy. Tone went right out.
35+ minutes in antitower. Other than the BLMS low hp (12k) and the healer not dpsing I couldn't even figure out what the hell caused dps to be that abysmally low. This is the first time I've ever had to... actively use Invigorate on bosses in there, since 3.2 released... Not even on patch release day, in there with my friends, did we spend more than 30 minutes in there, cutscenes and all.
I honestly wish I knew what the hell was that, the BLM used their 50+ skills and everything, I just... don't know... Not even switching to the infamous actually aoeing dragoon mode on the big pulls after the first boss helped make things die faster, it was. Fascinating.
On the other hand, I had an amazing newbie tank, probably an alt, in WPHM the other day. That dungeon went off without a hitch, even if they only pulled moderately (the day I reached level 50 as healer and got swiftcast my friends grabbed me, tossed me into EX roulette and let me heal through the biggest possible pulls. Bad, but effective, I can heal that place half asleep now). I was dpsing the pulls and barely had to do more than slapping Regen on 'em, the bosses melted with only the second one causing trouble because the Fire Res down thing kept appearing underneath the tank and none of us saw until they had the debuff.
Considering how smooth everything went, I really hope they walked out with all three comms - they certainly got mine.
And RE: Disembowel; that bard most likely was so insistent on it because it lowers the target's piercing resistance - therefore increases the damage the DRG who used it, as well as a BRD and a MCH's overall output. /huh
Good King Moggle Mog, NIN in STR gear and a Yokai Watch.
Either two things will happen:
> These guys will win and I'll get my roulette bonus after losing my connection as we engaged.
> These guys will wipe and no time will have been wasted when I log back in in 10 minutes time.
Went to Trial Roulette with 4 FC members.
Leviathan.
One of the players asked everyone to give a commendation when the fight ended.
We all had a good laugh.
The sad thing, he was a tank and my FC members said they probably would have given their commendation to him automatically if he hadn't asked.
But since he asked, they decided not to. And we all made a note to remember his name and never give him a commendation in the future either.
I'd heard stories of players actually asking for commendations. But it was my first time to see one in the wild.
