22.7gb update after relogging?

This is frustrating meh, I wonder how long until another se respinse.

So still no fix after the PS4 patch I think this game is not worth the stress its giving to everyone anymore.

At the german forum i got a message from the community team,the know about the problems. they working at it and .... and ihave to look that i threat my ps4 always right, i think they dont know where this problem comes from,sry for my bad english

I think I might just change to a pc at some point when I can. Idk what to do at this point I need to catch up to my raid group

I've been considering adding a pc license to my account as well... I have a pc build that can more than handle it, but I really did prefer the simplicity of running games on ps4 whenever I can. But with all the recent neglect of ps4 players, and the stress around this particular recurring bug (dear god, it looks like rain today, I'm way too scared to turn on my ps4), not to mention a game like this probably is much better on pc for controls...I might switch. If I didn't love the game so much I would just walk away.. I resent giving them any more money, but I just want to play my game :( I've had to mute my FC because no one is as far behind as I am, and I don't want anything spoiled... T.T

We were able to confirm the issue that occurs when the PS4 loses power in an unusual manner. As such, we've been working closely with Sony Interactive Entertainment to further investigate the problem. In the meantime, we ask that users do their best to shut down the console normally whenever possible. We know there are instances beyond your control, like power outages, and we sincerely apologize for the frustration this continues to cause.

We'll update again as soon as we have more information to share.

Thank you very much for responding to this thread. We appreciate you trying to resolve this problem. Hopefully you come up with a solution soon. I've downloaded the patch again but I'm not playing until this is fixed.

I had a Version check problem back in April after a PSN update.

I looked on a lot of forums to find a fix. I never did and I quit the game for a while.
Now this 22gb which stops after about 1 gb.
I tried just restarting the program and not hitting OK on the error screen.
Still 22.77 gb
If I manage to ever complete the download I am going to try this.

Go into Settings. Application Save Data. Select backup to USB.
Select All the files for stormblood.
Back them up.
If the program closes and I get the reset I will delete the the files from Application Save Data.
Then copy old data from usb.
This was the best suggested fix for the Version Check error I got back in april.
I'll let you know if it works.

Otherwise... I think I'm done too.
Clearly SE made a big error that they won't talk about.
Also When I log in this morning, I saw note they were getting hit with DDOS attacks.
Perhaps SE pissed off the wrong people.
This may be another facet of the cyber attack going on.

This just happened to me too.... i logged onto the game this morning and had to redownload the entire thing, this was about 2.5 hours of download.
I got the ps4 update and everything.
So I finally get through the download, play the game and suddenly my power flickers for a fraction of a second. I go to log in again and I have to download this whole thing AGAIN. another 2.5-3 hours?! This is absolutely frustrating....

Because of my internet speed I'm looking at 25 hours to redownload the entire thing. They need to fix this.

Just got hit with this by unplugging my PS4, power didn't go out, I just nudged a loose plug with my foot.

Does the game work fine once the 22747MB are done, though? I don't want to be corrupted.

Got this error today too. Was just about done with the final MSQ dungeon, helping someone out, and my power flickered. I rush to get back in so I can try to get my tomes, only to run into this weird download bug that started as 22287, but now it's 19887 after I restarted my PS4 to try and make it go away. :/ Tried downloading once already, it hung up a bit after 1 gig. Attempt #2, it's almost at 3 gigs, and after reading this thread, all I can wonder if, "Is this even going to let me play again, or is this is waste of time?" :(

Yes it works just fine, but if it happens again you'll have to download it again

Why did so many people get this error today? Did your PS4 Update cause the power to flicker? Mine did it too around the same time as everyone elses. wtffff

It happen to me to from sunday. I LOST 4 DAY of playtime. YOU NEED FIX THIS..I pay for a Month suscription.

Same thing to me, I was doing expert and the power went out and now Im downloading all the thing again...

Yeah this happened to me too.... and the download speed went from 4.00 mb/s to 0.30 mb/s about 1/3 of the way in, saying downloading ffxiv h2017.06.06.0000.0001h what used to say 90 minutes is now saying 750 minutes..... and i have the dns set to 8.8.8.8 as well as 8.8.4.4

Happening to me to power went out had to reinstall the whole whole patch again. Would be nice if The Devs would fixed this, I mean they claim that the PlayStation 4 software update fixed the problem but clearly that's a load of BS

4th time now, starting to lose faith to be honest. My download speed usually take around +20hrs just to complete the "update"

this psn update didn't do anything, still the same issue, I don't know why they keep ignoring this and try to fix it. I know they are working to fix some bugs but this is another bug that they could be fixing. I thing that I know is if this would to happen to a lot of Japanese players this would have been fixed a long time ago

they want people to stay quiet for a few days so they can rest of people complaining that they cannot play and that they are ignoring us because we play on console not on pc

That was the update to fix a different error.
It's THAT update that caused all of this. I actually started the re-install just to get it fixed so I can play again. Lord knows if it takes them as long to fix it as it did to fix Aether's problem when the Garo event started, I'd be waiting a lot longer than "1300 minutes."

no .We have this issue from Friday this update aparently need fix it but doesnt work.

That fix is for another error, not the one we're experiencing. Actually something really funny happened to me today. I left my PS4 downloading the patches for the third time last night, when I woke up it had downloaded 11gb, so I left it downloading so that when I come back from work it'll probably be downloaded. Well, getting home, rushing to the TV, and seeing in horror how the power cord of the PS4 was unplugged. Plug the cord. Turn the PS4 and the worst had happened.

My sister disconnected the PS4 because she thought I let it plugged in accidentally and all of my life during these 5 days of hell passed by my eyes once again. I felt like I was in some sort of limbo or time travel paradox.

I'm sorry to say that this didn't fix the issue, so please let us know anything this is getting out of hand

To add on to this, this is my 3rd time having this happen and right when I was close to finishing the download (30 min. left at around 2.64 mb/s) the speed just tanked all the way down to 0.10 mb/s at best..now it's down to 0.06 mb/s and saying I'll need 800+ minutes to finish this. Is this a fault on the game? Because every speed test I do it tells me the internet is working fine. This is becoming utterly frustrating. I've lost out so many days due to the amount of times I've had to redownload the game.

Tried several times to get download to go at .3mbps.
Every time at about 1-2 gb it errors and says can't download update.

My guess is that the DDOS attacks are hitting more than just the game servers. probably this download is being spammed also.

There is probably very little available time for GM's to do anything.

Given those circumstances, I guess I'll wait, a little longer.

At this point I demand a fix that let us skip the 22GB download entirely.

Does the complete edition for PS4 contain data for ARR/HW/SB up to the point of SB's launch? My HW and SB discs just seem to be ARR/glorified licenses.

I think this should lead to a fix in the way updates gets downloaded, now the PS4 is figuratively a brick trapped under the game client to download the whole thing.

they need to figure it out a way to update the game in the background like any other game so we at least could play something else

Someone with a working game, an interest in this feed still, and a fast internet connection should try this.

In Settings in the Playstation Menu there is a sub menu called Application Saved Data Management.
In the menu Saved Data in System Storage.
Choose: Copy to USB Storage Device.
Copy all three files from the Stormblood folder.
Small files, only 10 MB each.
Exit out.
Open game and cause anomaly to trigger.. unplug I guess.
When Download triggers, close the game.
Go back to Application Saved Data Management, go into Saved Data in System Storage. Select delete
Select Stormblood select all 3 files and Hit ok.
Return to Application Saved Data Management menu and select Saved Data on USB Storage Device
Choose: Copy to System Storage.
Select Stormblood.
Select all 3 files, and copy.
This will load Previously working data.
Someone should try it. or tell us if someone already did.
It's a lot faster than 22.7 o7 o7 o7 o7 \o/

I konw your feeling this is happen to my from sunday I CANT SAVE MY DOWNLOAD PROGRESS Come on SE please fix this.I cant download 22 7 gb in 1hr my conection is soo bad (200kbs) and almost disconnect each 2hr.and i lost all my progress i cant download 22 7 each time

I am on my fourth reload. Tonight my PS locked up while I was logging in. I had to unplug it and hope I didn't have to reboot the whole system. It's really bad when you pay for something and can't even use it. I hope this gets corrected soon.

We are talking about how many GB to download here if I do the said process? I am halfway downloading this annoying 22.7 GB and it stop at 13 GB. And now I have to download 11GB though but still it keeps on stuck-ing after downloading at around 1GB and return back to 11GB remaining... So freaking disappointed with this issue!

I backed up my save files after the first time I got hit with this and tried this restore method after the second time.

It doesn't work.
