The process to close steam process has worked, and i agree with you, this kind of problem need to be refund somehow

Anyone try log in same account at another pc and check if that works??? with that we know if problem come from account or from pc

Everything is worth trying! I haven't been able to do this yet.

I've had this problem since the big 6.2 update like many of you. I'm glad there is a workaround by force quitting steam while having the launcher opened, but damn after a whole month Square didn't even acknowledge this problem exist.. are they even trying to fix it?

Try opting into the Steam beta under settings, I just did this and now the game seems to be loading with Steam still running.

Glad that worked for you! I've used the beta since before this issue aka 6.2 released, so for me that's sadly not an option to try. I really hope they at least acknowledge a problem exists rather sooner than later... I'm getting tired of waiting for fixes.

I should mention I was still on DX9 SINCE dx11 was not working this way. Its been frustrating to say the least, sad part is stuck deciding to renew or not and lose my FC house because of this.
