Hi wanted to make a post about this and been stuck in que for 10000+ while trying to login to Odin server. EU needs more additional servers, it really is unbearable to login and I get error 2002 code then it dc and I’m back in 10k + que again. Really love your game, but from all money you get from your subscription customers, surely you could spend an amount for EU datacenter servers.
Thanks for reading, bye.
so they had to have a crystal ball that the number of people would far exceed 17000 people when even with the onslaught of new players the max queue was approximately 1200 even in the EU? even mupltiplying that number by 5 won't come NEAR the limit, eve times 10. no they could have done more. the time they are granting is because they are trying to make up for something that they could not totally experience. the Asian servers have not been expanded that much since i started playing 1.5 years ago and even if they could you are into the territory of equipment shortages in the last year PLUS COVID travel restrictions to and from japan where the server clusters are.
I am starting to think Freki42 is the dev responsible for this
no need for "crystal ball" they clearly knew the number of sales for Endawalker for both EU and NA but yet continued and still continue to sell it, they knew the regions the accounts were for they even knew the servers the accounts were most active on, they have ALL the figures or did someone accidently forget to look at server capacity numbers, there is no white knighting this they are selling a service they can not provide
IMHO if you get booted out of the queue due to no fault of your own the game should always return you to your place in line when/if you are able to get back in (or at least give you 60 minutes to get back in, not 5.)
We shouldn't have people afk dancing on the steps in Ul'dah when thousands are trying to login either.
