I haven't seen any change regarding sub prices. *shrugs*
Also, I doubt it's a financial burden SE is facing so much as a burden of greed. Just look at FFXV: New Empire" or their announcement of going to a service model "because thaat's the direction the market is going," you know the same market that floods us with pre-orders and DLCs before a game is finished, and other similar problems that are more than facepalm worthy. They're trying to squeeze more money out of us, not recoup lost finances.
I'm only hoping it doesn't impact this game too bad or too soon, because that's how you drain a good game (or franchise) of any meaning or spirit it might have once had. Take a look at Activision's handling of WoW as a moneymaker.
That's what I'm getting from this, at least. My one hope is the one thing no one in their right mind wants - to be wrong.
