It is popular in America, but not Final Fantasy popular. It is one of the biggest franchises in Japan however. Up there with Pokemon and Mario. I am surprised it isn't considered a national holiday when one gets released over there.

This thing looks like it sucks. Why are they making a psVita 2.0?
what about all the low end PCs holding it back? Why you gotta hate on a console? Why does gaming have to be full of hate in the first place? It's not like the PS3 was holding back anything other than VERY small things like UI. You're not getting super amazing updates to look like real life cause it's dropped.
This is more about the developer tools.
The WiiU lacked a good enough install base to justify developing major AAA games on, which just worsened it's issues.
Looking closer at the system itself, Nintendo has taken a really conservative approach to the Switch.
I mean, there are no crazy gimmicks to how it's controlled, no dual screen requirements, or over-emphasised touchpad. It's an ordinary controller that can be set on a tablet screen or TV screen.
If I were a developer, I'd be relieved and excited seeing that!
