Please disable changing Cleric Stance during combat for make healer focus on healing.

Well. It's not gonna happen since they are including healer DPS for Alex savage. In fact, they mentioned specifically that they increased WHM damage for Heavensward.

The OP is a classic case of not reading properly. All the things that SE has said so far would point to them wanting healers to dps more in Heavensward.

When I came back to healing, Cleric Stance made me nervous. So I eased myself into it, and I still do. Every dungeon run, every CT, every new boss fight, I wait and see. Is the tank going to pull a ton of mobs and not pop a cool down? Okay no clerics. Has he pulled more than he can handle? No clerics. Is my co- healer in clerics and I know there's a tank killer move coming up? No clerics. Okay, the tank used Hallowed, Selene's on Rouse, I can cleric, get my dots up, Bane, maybe even a nice Shadow Flare, then turn it off again.

Point being, healer DPS is situational. It depends first on whether they feel comfortable or not, and if they don't, then they shouldn't. Because they are there to keep everyone else alive. If they do feel comfortable - and as they practice, they'll get more and more comfortable and more aware of when is a good time to hit that button - then they should go for it. I know for example that I can mostly DPS as SCH in the first phase of T9 because I know my WHM partner has healing covered; I just need to stance dance when Ravensbeak is incoming to get an Adloqium on the tank. But it took me a few runs to learn that degree of comfort/familiarity. And I wouldn't presume a SCH who didn't deeps then was BAAAD. I like stance dancing, but it's all down to specific situations making it a good idea or not. Have to say tho, when I get commendations as a healer, I've always stance danced

replace cleric stance with the spell haste problem solved :p

What should have happened IMO... was they should have left CS like it worked in V1.2, where it "temporarily buffed" DPS for X attacks/time rather than swapped mind and int. That would have made impulse "dual DPS/Healing" make sense, but I understand why they made it do what it does... because like the tank stance, you would be screwed over on all the mainstream single player quests and have to spend a lot more time than DPS to get through the content if there was long CD's between each DPS attack.

That said, I'm still of the opinion that CS shouldn't be something that can be switched on if you queue as healer (and likewise with tanks dps stance) because it's the kind of thing that people do to eschew doing their job. SE has shown they can make skills work differently under PvP (CS is not usable in PvP), so they can certainly do it with the Dungeons. Now why do you think they did this with PvP? Because people were using WHM's for DPS, and not healing.

No, they did that because healers in PvP who did the damage they do outside of PvP would be nightmares.

Either we accept that ALL of your runs in DF are absolutely terrible and that that somehow justifies your skewed perspective on the healer role OR we accept that you simply don't approve of healers dealing damage on philosophical grounds and want all of the stalks of grass cut equally low. Which is it? Can't be both. Plenty of healers successfully perform their jobs to the fullest by incorporating their DPS kits and are eschewing nothing but laziness; kindly refrain from lumping the entire community in with your statement.

Don't be absurd. They did it because healers were overpowered in PvP with that much damage-dealing ability; it certainly wasn't because Yoshida took offense at healers daring to use the abilities he and his team designed for them.

Wow, I haven't seen such a stupid post in a really long time.

Why even have Holy then? Or Stone? Or Scholar DoTs?

Why don't we just remove all abilities from these jobs that don't directly heal. That surely wouldn't be boring and unfair to healers at all.

Months later and Kisa still has no idea how other healers successfully pull this off. I actually wish we were on the same server so we could party up and I could demonstrate how this works when done correctly.
