Rules? When did I talk about rules? I specifically said nobody should be FORCED to wait. I simply said I think people SHOULD do it and I personally consider it rude to pull a mob for you and only you when you could call, allow another party or two to come in, and have all three of you get full credit. Why is waiting a few minutes and letting a few other people get credit too a bad thing?

Have you ignored the thread? Many people DO do those things. Even if you don't, don't be oblivious to those who are.

You said it was common courtesy to wait for others. It stops being common courtesy when you could potentially lose your share because of it. It stops being common courtesy when the zerg that arrives doesn't return said "courtesy".

Oh, by all means I don't agree with the behavior the OP was talking about either. But a lot of the discussion seems to have shifted over to hunts in general.

Honestly, they should make Hunts require a pop item and said pop item can only be acquired from those 'potion' chests in dungeons. Might seem like a 'bad' idea to a lot (there's probably a better idea involving pop items), but hey, unless SE introduce Burning Circles that require us to hand over 99 Kindred Seals for a Themis Orb so we can fight Chlevnik so we can get a Beastly Shank to pop Behemoth, it's better than having people bite each others heads off or resetting mobs just to appease the many and screw over the few.

Warning, might run out of breath if reading aloud.

Just to add, the popped Marks will be treated similarly to Treasure Hunt mobs. As in, only you and your party can attack them as well as get hit by its AoE's. What I imply is that the Elite Marks can have the same level of difficulty as dungeon/raid bosses and the innocent bystanders won't have to worry about getting one shotted.

Tanks who go steal in progress hunt to reset it, is harassing the group that were hunting and must be banned for good.
After a good number of bans I'd like to see if all that zergs will again play their dirty game. They are not right, they are bullying the few with their numbers. And they don't care about you: if you do a favor to them, they repay you with a kick in your face. They deserve plain nothing.

actually what i have been talking about and have expained is all about hunts not just the situation i experienced, what you are saying it is courtesy to wait but just to let you know, courtesy, consideration, kindness, generosity are all double standard words no matter what you do and how you do it, it will be hurtfull/disadvantuous to the other party, i did wait i did call out but to be honest if its an a or be rank its gunna be dead in less then 13 sec if not that. me and my group found it me and my group were hunting around and looking for spawns, so are we not the ones who should have it above all else. now if i was a real dick i would of never called it out, but i did and got screwed out of 20 seals and only got 2 for my courtesy for my kindness. so no those words are useless in your opinions and in mine becuase they are double standards they will only fit ppls need for thier views only. im not courteous cause i pulled as soon as they arrived (Your point of view) they are not courteous becuase they kill stealed my grps hunt causing us to lose out whn it only had 10% of its life taken, and they could of just easily joined in instead of reseting it for their own needs (my point of view) you see how these words are doule standards

these people are not doing this niceness for the common good of everyone cause if they did they would wait at least 10 minutes before they pull giving everyone enough time or go to each major city and let ppl kno so and so has spawned come get your seals, no they show up and automatically pull without a second thought be it stealing it or finding it freshly spawned, like the ppl u say keep it for themselves that goes both ways you could say in peoples eyes we are both wrong and both right at the same time in the many views and opinions from this thread and the many like it. no matter if you feel we are being rude your only looking at one side but have yet to contemplate the what if on the other side of the fence. tell me would you risk the 30min-hr you spent looking for a hunt find it, be tell people then wait for them to show up and have it stolen not getting the 20 seals you should of and only to 2 seals just so 60+ other people could mooch off of the time you spent and not give a dam about you and your group. im tired of getting spat in the face so from now on im not going to shout or let peple know, im done! too many a time ive had it thrown in my face for being nice and then belittled that im selfish that im not courteous because i pulled as soon as the train shows up, i found it, i wasted my time looking for it and tell me what do i got to show for it cept a swift kick in the balls because i had to be nice and courteous. Because it's never just a dozen or so random people that show up. It's the giant coordinated horde who are following spreadsheets of shared information about every single mob The Hunt provides, and then recording time of death so they know exactly when to circle back around to farm the same mobs again. If you don't fall into line and let the horde get their full credit, guess what? You're blacklisted..over 5 seals.

I think I'm failing to express myself here... I don't agree any more than you do with this sort of behavior. When I talk about someone waiting a few minutes, I mean something like

> find mob -> call your party over -> put up a shout to people in the zone who're also searching -> wait 3-5 minutes or until ~20 people have shown up (allows for 2-3 parties) -> pull mob -> do your thing, get your credit -> (optionally) if someone's shouting omw still consider slowing down dps to let them try for credit too

I don't at all agree with someone trying to rip enmity off of you and demand they get first crack at the credit. I've even suggested in other threads a "finder's mark" that when applied gives your party a minor seal bonus and ensures that you and only you can make the actual pull.
