Naw. I'd rather see them forced to put in the effort into getting better so they can carry their own weight in raids. And I don't think joining PF constitutes as "trying". Many of us should already know there's a lot of people that join PFs simply hoping for a free carry.

You can go ahead and give them benefit of the doubt if that's your opinion, but mine is quite the opposite.

But they're not solving anything by paying for clears. They're just paying for artificial progression. They're short-cutting what was holding them back, rather than bettering themselves as a player. If you're not willing to face challenging content head-on, then you're not playing an MMORPG for the right reasons.

How is this any different than making the assumption that every player that uses these services must be good players that are just stuck due to time constraints or because they have no FC/Friends to clear content with.

I don't think anyone here ever made that assumption.

ITT: You must actually win the fight uphill, through the snow, bothways to "experience it"; no, wiping at 5% doesn't count, you didn't experience it. You're a bad if you don't want to deal with horrible people. All gil comes from RMT and you should feel bad for trying to make gil. If they don't do things my way then I must berrate them to continue feeling superior about my "legitimate" ways.

Seriously, what some of the people are saying on this thread is ridiculous. I earned all my wins, have never merced, and I'm still glad there are merc groups out there to help whoever may need it. Is that really something so unbelievable? Or should I start berrating all this "dirty carried peasants" just because they didn't "earn" their win like I did? Should I start making a distinction on those who got the carry for free and those who payed for it as well? I mean, personally those who got it for free seems to have put less effort, but this thread seems to imply otherwise.

I don't think it's reportable so long as they follow through on what they advertise. If they decide to troll you and deny you what you paid for...well, that IS reportable.

Probably not meant for that but they had to see it coming, I know I did.

I mean, the PF have search filters to weave through the hundreds of groups by Trials, Dungeons ect.... The only problem is there is never that many to even use the filter so for now I don't see a big deal.

People being carried when they buy clears is a moot point. If I had to bet on whether more people get carried for free by friends/FC than those who buy a carry with gil, my money would be on the majority of carries in this game being for free.

I still think that this (reasonable) assumption makes that specific point (selling content being objectionable because of people—who couldn't down it otherwise—progressing) a hollow argument in this discussion.
