I am currently the owner, and creator of a GLBT FC and LS on Excalibur (albeit the LS stays full). But I myself am a GLBT person, and ally. I don't have any written rules, but I generally contribute to and maintain a GLBT friendly atmosphere, both in Company and LS, for my own sake and others. I'm strict about enforcing that policy. FC is small for now though, but I'd like to do more with more people later. Teamspeak server, 2 minecraft servers for when FF is down, and the enjin is www.kittiesinspace.enjin.com though sadly it doesn't get used all that much. Also, I'm disabled/retired, so I am almost always around. Also, if I get enough interest, I'll just make an alt shell. POC is Reneta Scian (myself)

Could you remove Tempora Heroica from the list please. We're pretty much dead as an fc these days. There are only four or so of us still active and are just social now, most of our member having moved on to more endgame focused shells and keeping in touch via the TH linkshell. It'd be a shame to let an FC/LS die that started way back in 2010 so we may try to rebuild soon but for now we're too small to do much.

Any FC or LS on Faerie besides the ones listed on the first page of the thread?

Phoenix Down is still active on Hyperion! We've had quite a few new people joining lately with PS4 launch and the free weekend! Everything from being social to Coil!

Hey folks, I don't know if the OP is still updating or whatever but I'm the Site Director for The Lifestream (dedicated to FFVII) and I created a free company in 09/13.

We have a few members (including myself) who fall into the LGBTQ+ bracket and we're on Cerberus. Zero tolerance policy on discrimination, safe place for any LGBT or allied players and new players would be encouraged and welcomed. To be honest I'm disappointed with the lack of LGBT LS's or FC's on our server.

We've only recently become active again after a long absence, so we're looking to build up our ranks and I'd love it if more LGBT members could join us in creating a really friendly and safe FC. I would say 18+ because we want the freedom to swear etc.

I never understood why a guild or FC would need to advertise that they are LGBT friendly. As if a guild or FC doesnt advertise this that some how that makes them not LGBT friendly. This isnt real life guys this is a game. Race, Age, Sexual Orientation shouldnt be a factor at all in game. Talking about sexual content in any form is against the ToS anyways. So I'm surprised we need to discuss this at all.

There have been so many responses already in this thread to what you just said.

This isn't about "sexual content", that's not what LGBT-friendly FC's are about. Sexual Orientation is not sexual content. It's about safely being able to say "I went to the cinema with my boyfriend today" without having homophobes tell you how they think you're the crap they stepped on on the pavement. There's a crapload of homophobia in gaming, and LGBT people want a safe place to play and enjoy their games without discrimination.

It can work the other way, too. In my prior FC, I mentioned something along the lines of needing to pick up my boyfriend. Everyone went insane with questions: "Who's the 'girl' in the relationship?" There are only two other FCs on Gilgamesh that break 300 members, and neither of them are specifically LGBT. The Sacred Band lists themselves as LGBTA has 143 members as of now. Edit: I think there might be others, but I can't remember them right now.

That's a shame. I really wanted a big FC, I can't seem to find my "home" right now. I left Taint because the rules were too strict and I didn't like the admins constantly enforcing me to abide to said rules and there's the typical circlejerk in it so new members are basically nothing.
And then I went into Aetherius (Aeth) (non-lgbt) but someone got really offended by the word "vagina" and I left. (Also someone in the guild saying that he had no sympathy for Robin Williams because suicide is selfish and that ticked me off because it's complete BS). I hate guilds that don't let you have fun and use cuss words, because I have more of a dark humor and people in this game don't get it. So me and my friends left and now we're in Night Sirens (Myth). I absolutely hate guilds that can't take a joke or forbid you to use the slightest kind of profanity, even when you're not offending someone, but just saying, for example, "fuck I missed the queue". I mean, this is an adult game, and there's always the chat filter. So, meh.

I regret to see that Famfrit's biggest LGBT driven FC isn't on this list. While we don't discriminate, we actually actively recruit LGBT members rather than just "provide a safe atmosphere for everyone". Our FC is at the least 90% LGBT members. I am happy there are FCs that don't discriminate against any players, but there are very VERY few focused on pandering to the LGBT community. That's what we do in The Rainbow Patrol <G.A.Y>. Needless to say, the name alone is enough to turn away many of the people that are "open minded" but who aren't comfortable enough having such a tag right next to their character's name. That's how we wanted it when we created our FC. It isn't about discrimination against players of a different persuasion, it is about really driving a nail home that we really REALLY want to have an FC that lets people of our persuasion let loose. Too often in these "open minded" FCs is conversation of a straight orientation accepted as normal, but conversation of the LGBT orientation is frowned upon, especially when there are only a handful of members in the FC from the LGBT community who speak up against listening to conversation they aren't particularly fond of, yet when they bring conversation up they enjoy, it can be shot down by an overwhelming number of people on these FCs who find the topics many of the LGBT community (especially younger members) enjoy. With that in mind, our FC set out to create an enviroment where just about any topic can be brought up and discussed without issue. During recruitment, we make a point of letting possible applicants know, the conversation can and likely will turn adult quite often. The only topics we usually intervene for are usually those that could turn into discriminatory conversations. We usually just frown upon politics as conversation topics, because we are all usually here to unwind anyways, so why bother talking about the news? 9 times out of 10, the topics are usually suggestive, 1 times out of 10, it's usually blatantly sexual. As long as it doesn't get too raunchy or disgusting, we usually don't mind this type of conversation taking place. We have found that our members, even the few "straight" members we have, join in and enjoy the environment of some dirty talk. So, while I can see why our FC might not be on this list, I do believe we deserve mention as not just an LGBT friendly, but an LGBT driven FC.

Fair warning: I used to be in this FC and they are anything but trans-friendly. LGB-friendly, I guess, but I had to blacklist no fewer than four members due to blatant transphobia because the officers wouldn't do anything to curb it. If anything, they contributed to a very toxic environment (I got called "a guy with tits" by one of the officers, for instance).

The OP hasn't posted anything at all since March, and the list hasn't been touched since September of last year (last edit 9-22-2013), so I'd say that's a no. You could always have a look through Gilgamesh's list of FCs on the Lodestone.

There are at least 2 'still active' LGBT FC's on Gilgamesh if not more. Since this thread appears 'dead' - at least in terms of updating the 'main' list - perhaps it's time for someone to start a new one.

[EDIT] I'm not mentioning the names of the FC on Gilgamesh here as I don't want to favour one over any other, and I don't know all of them. I am an officer of one FC myself, and also run a LGBT friendly LS that has members from at least one other. So I know we are out there and still active. [/EDIT]

Just to let people know Mhaeric (the OP) has been gone from the game for a few months (we're in the same FC) and I don't know when, or if, he'll be returning any time soon. So the list on the first page most likely won't be updated for the foreseeable future.
