"Is it too late to try to preorder again from Amazon, get the pre-order code, cancel, and try again?"
shouldnt be I did it myself about 3 hours ago
evildeed, what's your email address? I have an EU code for ps3 and pc
infinite-wisdom@hotmail.com
Thank you so much!!!
I will need a code for PC.
I will trade you my NA code if needed.
Alright. I've sent you an email.
Well this is frustrating. I work 9-6 so I was unable to contact SE's support all week, now i'm still stuck with this EU code and will miss early access. I guess this is what I get for buying a physical collectors edition for my PS3 =/
lol at least there's 1 happy ending in this thread lol xD
Whoever is still having problems, the only advice i can give you, has been said before, a few times.
Go to Amazon.com Order a new game, get a new code, summit your code, Cancel the order that you just made, get your new PS3/PC code, summit the PS3/PC code to respective places, download the game, and lastly be happy.
I recommend all of you who have wrong region codes to pre-order and cancel the game now before is too late. Once the day switches to tomorrow it will NO LONGER BE AN OPTION. Retailers have plenty of pre-order codes. Amazon has not run out yet. Get your codes or forever regret it. Is do or die at this point and sadly SE did not fix this issue to a satisfactory degree. They better off getting heat off a retailer than losing customers. Do what you must. Get your code, enjoy the game
ive done the amazon order/cancel twice now and both my codes still get invalid :( thinking of trying a third time
Make sure you use the NA site.
When i did it i triple checked, and made sure the SE site i logged into was the US sight as well. (Has US flag icon next to the language at the bottom.) went into my SE profile/settings made sure everything said US/NA. and then logged into the pre-order site.
also when i went to the SE member site (before going to pre-order code site) when you get to the log in screen it asks you if you want to use facebook or twitter to log in, the third option was to log in using SE NA (which i'm guessing merged with SE EU). Idk if this will help you, but it is what i did.
Thats actually what I did, But I also bought digital download CE. But I used the code after I canceled the order and now it is telling me to wait for early access or launch, but no longer getting the "no service account available" message anymore, hope this means I can make into early access.
Anyone else have the issue of it saying you have PC code registered for early access but your trying to register/play on ps3? Am I able to register 2 codes if I call amazon or how does that work?
So amazon will refund the money if you buy then cancel?
No, but the digital downloads are broken at the moment. So, people are ordering the game (preferably from Amazon, great customer service) and then receiving the code, registering them, making sure the code is for this region, and if it is viable, then they cancel their orders. As they do not charge until the item actually ships, which is the 26th,27th.
The pre-order code is automatic, but nobodies code was redeeming, so they refunded everyones money, who ever bought from PSN, and I believe they also gave a free game voucher.
to anyone that got a psn refund vouchers have officialy started to be sent out as of 1:22am CST i just recieved mine.
do you think theyre doing this alphabetically or by preorder date?
See? Have faith. :-)Quote:

Still haven't gotten anything from Square Enix via email or PSN...bought my digital CE on the PSN store tuesday the 13th. Every time I try to log in from the launcher it says "No valid or active account is available to play Final Fantasy xiv A realm reborn." When I check the SE Account management site, it shkws ffxiv as a registered service...idgi.
So, I bugged Amazon over the phone late last night about getting a new code (I'm taking it as a challenge not to preorder again > grab the new key > cancel) and they forwarded the request to their marketing and promotional support team. I received an email from Amazon directing me to give them a call again as "it would be easier for us to resolve this issue over the phone." I call back, explain the situation and what I would consider a satisfactory resolution, and it's back to marketing & promotional support -_-
Any chance SE will pick up the phone today? -_-
So ive had a ticket in for this for over 12 hours, im slowly losing hope that i will ever get to play.
I've had my ticket in since Thursday night. Got an automated response on Friday morning. I know the support office is open over the weekend, but I'm not getting my hopes up at this point. Probably just have wait and play on release day, but I would like to eventually get my preorder bonuses.
Ditto. Opened a Ticket Thursday night, got an automated response Friday after midnight and have been waiting ever since. Other venues Chat/phone support were unavailable. .... just a tick tock tick tock game now.
They don't have service on the weekends.. calling them on the phone isn't toll free so be prepared to pay long distance.. I think you'll have better luck with chat support but gonna have long waits

Dear Customer,
Thank you for contacting our customer service.
We are sorry to hear that you encountered an issue with the regions of your PlayStation 3 code and Square Enix account.
PlayStation 3 Network codes that are displaying an invalid code error during redemption may be encountering a regional lock issue. Codes can only be used on Square Enix and PlayStation Network accounts of the same region that they were purchased in. European codes can only be registered on European accounts. Please note that you will be able to access servers from all regions, regardless of your accounts region ? European customers can therefore play on North American servers should they prefer to.
As North American pre-order codes (which in turn redeem North American Early Access codes) are distributed only by North American retailers, please confirm that you purchased the game through a European website and paid for it in a European currency.
Please be aware that North American customers who purchased the game from GreenManGaming.com and received a European Early Access code during redemption, can now receive a new (NA region) Early Access code by simply re-redeeming their 18-digit pre-order code. Should you continue to receive a European code instead of a North American code please contact the North American Support Centre:
http://support.na.square-enix.com/
Should you have purchased the game for a wrong region, please contact the retailer for a refund. Pre-order bonuses are still being issued for purchases made before 27 August so you should still be able to get in the Early Access if you purchase the correct region game today.
We are sorry that we cannot offer you further assistance in this matter and do hope that you will be able to resolve this region issue. We hope that this information has been useful to you but please do not hesitate to contact us again with further questions.
Kind regards,
The Square Enix Support Centre Team

I preordered the game from a brick and mortar EB Games location in Canada. I was given a preorder code on my receipt, which I used to redeem a PS3 early access code from preorder.na.finalfantasyxiv.com. It gave me an invalid PS3 code for my NA Playstation account, presumably because it is an EU code. I'm not sure how their explanation fits my situation. Last time I checked, Canada was part of North America.
This is bullshit, I ordered from the NA SE website months ago and got an EU code. SE is just trying to save their ass from embarresment . That's why they haven't comment on on the region locked codes. All I know is that this better not stop me from playing my physical copy of the game. I wish they would just own up to their mistake and tell us, "sorry we screwed up, so now your screwed...oops" or something telling us what is going on. This is fucking ridiculous!!!!!!
I saw that last night when I issued another Ticket to SE & this is what I received 20 mins ago in my e-mail inbox
Thank you for contacting the SQUARE ENIX Support Center.
This email has been sent to notify you that your ticket was received and will be responded to within 2 business days (48 hours) of receipt.
Probably should go back to EB and see if they can issue you another code
My retail location said that they've run out of preorder codes, and I've had a ticket in with the NA SE Support Center since Thursday night. I've only received the same automated reply that you have. I also spent two hours in a chat queue on Friday, only to be kicked from the queue when I was next in line. I've pretty much given up on SE support for this issue, just gonna wait for Tuesday, unless I can trade codes with an EU player in the same situation.
Bump bump bump.......need a ps3 na code, have a ps3 EU code to trade....email me. Ricoindica84@Gmail.com
Well, I submitted another ticket. Apparently even though my other ticket was sent via the NA support site, an EU rep e-mailed me back with pretty much the same bullshit as already posted here. Maybe this time I'll actually get someone who knows what they're doing and doesn't copy paste responses...
Are there any EU PS3 Players that Still need an EU Code? Will trade for PS3 NA Region
Well- another day of checking my inbox for an update from SE's support center has come and gone. Anyone know if the early access code redemption site will be up past Monday?
