This is actually going to be an option in 6.0. They showed it off in the last live letter.
Thank you! I've been hoping someone would reply to me saying that was the case. Seems like both options were added for distance and double-tap. This is amazing news, thanks!
Edit: Before someone says, "why didn't you just Google it?" I did! Most of the results were just posts asking for the option. The one result that was about the live letter was on Reddit, and that site hasn't loaded for me for the past few days.
It's probably already been said in this thread but BLU being updated to also function as a real job.
Lunar Moggle Mog trial with new glowy lunar moggle mog weapons because I need new glowing moogle weapons that make moogle noises... >.>
Upgradable housing plot (S to M, M to L)
+1 to those who have mentioned additional glamour plates and dresser space.
I just wanted Healers to be fun.
Now i am a BLM Main for the rest of my FFXIV Life.
More.... plate/armors for.... casters & healers....
...Less... tablecloths... for us....
or just outright remove the restriction, except AF gears Q_Q
12 days Final Fantasy coming of 13 years WOW:
I am hopeful there will be more focus on PVP.
-- Because why not
I am hopeful:
The game will allow or even sell basic "tools" (meters) to people who seek to improve. I'd be happy to be grouped only with people who choose to use these tools or pay for them. Charge me $5 for the privledge.
-- Because people who want access to their data so they can improve and help others they play with improve. Allowing this to happen probably won't be the worst thing ever.
I will be 90% happy when these don't happen. Not 100% - really close though. I will continue to happily play & pay for FF long after these 2 items on my wishlist 'wont ever happen'.
I want real healchecks in savage raids. Something that challenges you and your skills as healer a bit instead of "attack - attack - attack - OGCD heal - attack - attack - dot - attack .."
This will not be done, but as a huge PVP fan, it would be awesome if there was a Garlian player base against us Eorzeans so we could have some good PVP, and yes, I'm fully aware that's me talking from my WoW experience but to be fair, that's one of the few things wow got right.
Because this is so story-driven, it can not happen; after all, no one wishes to play on the losing side and yes I take story before PVP any day
Healers to stop getting more spirit bomb heals which are completely unnecessary and instead get interesting DPS/support and provide more than they do with a much higher skill ceiling. Or for healing to be soul crushingly punishing so new healing tools are actually useful outside of just reducing healing GCDs to let us spam Glare one more GCD in a fight for 40 more DPS.
Likewise, for crafters to have untradeable gear they must make themselves as a form of progress with recipes requiring being in that gear. There's no endgame anymore because everyone is a 4* crafter these days. Pretty much everything else in the game has proper progression in place, but crafting is the outlier, BiS gear for a trivial sum.
Fixing Living Dead on DRK.... I wish :(
Modern netcode
PS4 support gone
Graphics revamp
More rpg/flavor back for the classes
Multichannel dyes
Dyeable dungeon armour
New open world and quest designers
Vulkan and Dx12 support
Promotion of limited jobs to real jobs. I came back when they released blu and it was just a big slap in the face and now I worry for other jobs like beastmaster and puppetmaster. If they ever come around.
Raise the minimum PC requirements. Even regular PS4 has much higher capabilities. Potato PCs are holding the game back.
Wouldn't expect a drop of PS4 support to be even remotely considered until the PS5 is actually easily available, which is out of SE's control, with the global parts shortage and all..
More intense healing and weaken current healing potency,
Dungeon mechanic where we make use of sleep/interrupt/stun,
Variety of buff skills for healer role, make us true healer/support role not a green dps
Dead character stay dead especially our side, nothing worst than going through a emotional cut scene seeing an ally sacrifice and come back alive the next quest
They have already said no a hundred times.Quote:
The game will allow or even sell basic "tools" (meters) to people who seek to improve.
Less glamour restrictions so that I don't need to take the clothing items I like into consideration when choosing a raid job
new Hrothgar hairstyles, or have the current 8 separated from face. I know it would happen eventually, but I don't want to wait at least another 2 years to get something at all while everyone else gets new hairstyles every ~4 months u_u"
Sorting of craft recipe menus by profession and job.
Being able to wear my AST Lv 60 set on BLM...
My real biggest wish?
That the devs finally remove dungeons and trials from the MSQ thus allowing people to progress through it at whatever pace they wish without any aniexty or stress. The dungeons & trials can then all be optional for the sparkles of rewards.
I know it's not a one-for-one comparison but if you want a whimsical and elegant looking outfit for BLM, their level 80 gear (the Wicce set) might be a good match (especially for female characters).

I want a toggle that removes all the catbois and bunnybois as the heavens intended ...
I want a new job exclusive to me: Aesthetician. It will have hair shears as a weapon and let me change everyone's hair, make up, and glamour. This includes NPCs and PCs and they will have to pay to 2000 gil afterwards. >w> ♥
The Minstrel's Ballad: Jandelain's Apprentice.
Make the MSQ / normal modes harder. We are supposed to have 80 (soon 90) levels of experience in the game's systems. I wish the game could be harder so that the daily tasks could be less boring. I wouldn't mind doing dungeons more often if they actually were challenging.
Currently, the difficulty resides in players not being able to understand what stack/spread markers are in normal mode raids, and that's a shame.
I also wish high end content was a bit harder too.
I want any ultimate fights to actually be hard. The fact that any of them have been cleared at all shows they aren't hard enough. Beating one should be a crazy huge deal since they should be nearly impossible to beat.
Example is in the Ultima Weapon one. You need to beat certain bosses in a certain way. The game should not even hint that you need to do that. (Note that I have never run that, so if there is indeed no hint whatsoever, please correct me)
