Most lifetime subs offer 3 years of subscriptions so I doubt it would be that much lol... but Whether or not it's worth it is up to the individual person... ahem...

Hey I could purchase it and then suffer a catastrophic accident making me unable to play for the rest of my life lol. How much money I spent on FFXIV would not be the primary concern then. I probably spend more on take out than I would on life time sub anyway... in the end it's just not that much money to drop on a game I plan on playing multiple years.

So I still think its worth it, especially considering that ARR will never go free to play in the near future, if it ever does.

May be only me, but I get a real bad vibe when a game offers a lifetime sub. I take it as their way of saying "we know we're not going to have a huge subscriber base so we're going to trick people into shelling money out to us upfront then go F2P and eventually shut down or open a cash shop". STO did it, as did TSW.

I'd pay 300 for a lifetime sub.

Just sayin.

I don't see FF14 putting a lifetime sub option. FF11 didn't do it, and remains a prosperous game for SE. So I doubt they would make their new mmorpg into a lifetime sub, SE loves their money.

I am still willing to pay $120 a year as I have a job to support SE if I need to...

I haven't play FFXI since summer and I am still paying, whatever that makes you XI fans happy. Oh well... xD

If they offer it I'd buy it, if they don't I'll gladly pay for the highest amount of time they let me.

Yeah, that's one major reason why I don't trust lifetime subs. I'll stick to a Year and Below subs.

I don't see why it shouldn't be an option.

It sure as hell wouldn't be one I used, but I don't see why it shouldn't exist.

I believe it's because Square Enix wasted million and million dollars to get us back and they are afraid to make Lifetime sub an option. And that's my guess.
