I just remembered this post, I think this was the same day I did that dungeon! Here's proof of me, prior to the warning, complaining about my internet! Yes, I shouldn't have joined a dungeon when I was previously having issues, but I thought I could get through a dungeon or two. Obviously, I couldn't, and that is why I left and logged off the game.

As I have said, a lot of people don't like me. I can have unpopular opinions with a certain subset of lurkers, and forum regulars. I have yet to report anybody in-game for anything. Even when it has been justified. I have posts from years ago, where I outlined how I was actually getting griefed and harassed, and I still refused to report somebody over it.
As with viera hairs, I am not going to hold my breath. I wrote a fairly long appeal, but without knowing the circumstances of what I got a warning for, I can't mount a proper defense.
I think I am quite justified in being unwilling to engage with others in-game, frankly. I did take a break from the game, I didn't even notice I had a warning until I logged in several days later.
Pretty much.
I don't chat, but when I do I certainly don't do that. Maybe I am blunt sometimes, I guess? Otherwise, I am actually incredibly polite if I do chat - and that can be verified with people I have regularly chatted with from in-game even.
The dungeon was the 79 one. I did that gigantic pull at first, and we did fine, great even. If I had actually intended on griefing players with no tank stance, that would have been the pull to do it on, but no.. I lost my tank stance on the pull of 4 enemies (3 dogs and a wall). The ones after the first boss (who I dced during). If this dungeon is truly what got me a warning for "griefing", it's tragic.
Oh really? What would those other infractions be?
The people saying your tank stance won't get removed by a d/c are very mistaken. Level sync can cause it. You sometimes re-sync while loading in (assuming of course the dungeon even requires syncing), causing all of your buffs to peace out.
In conclusion, I will continue to use trusts when I need to run levelling dungeons as opposed to running the risk of being reported by players should I experience a connection issue that disrupts the dungeon run. Thank you for sharing your experience, I will adapt accordingly.
And here you are, whining. Oh the irony~
Honestly tho, reason is phrased weirdly but am sure the grief part gives us a hint as to what you're up to!
That and your post of course.
Relax my friend, noobs aren't the end of the world and sometimes, you just have to leave em be so they figure stuff out by themselves.
Tho am just guessing but it'd be news to me that someone friendly gets banned for anything related to grief.
So if ya care, I'd say think back a little and I'm sure you can find out what ya did wrong, eh?
Anyway, it's just one warning, so I'd wager you'll be fine.
So, uh, can we assume you've provided all this "proof" to support that they might see if there was a mistake (which is most likely unnecessary, since they have all the information they need. Unless you believe someone is personally out to get you?), or are you aware of what you did wrong and are now just trying to make something out of it to spite the GM responsible?
Of course it's a fact that these kind of threads never go anywhere since you're only looking for a shoulder to cry on and/or people to argue with, so i'd say the answer is obvious.
Some of you guys are weird.
What I don't get is why wasn't the first course of action to try and appeal the result instead of coming on here complaining and then going into several threads under the troupe of "Can't beat 'em, Join 'em". If you can't dispute it, or if it gets rejected then probably time to face the cruel reality that you definitely indeed did do something that would arguably constitute as not adhering to to ToS.
It's time for the FFXIV communities favorite activity: weirdly aggressive victim blaming!
Unstable person melts down because you try to discuss a mistake in a savage PF? It's your fault.
Getting stalked? It's your fault.
Harassed? It's your fault.
Warned or banned unfairly? It's your fault!
After all, the GMs are perfect and never, EVER make mistakes. (Except for when it comes to RP venues apparently, then the GMs are evil cartoon villains who should be fired from their jobs and lose their income.)
It's not like there's a long history of extremely dubious warnings and bans handed out on this game or anything. But hey, this is the same forum where people were trying to lowkey justify someone receiving death threats over a bad review of the game.
