Can we please get a dev comment about servers being full?

I don't think it needs to be so tightly controlled that there is no buffer space for people to move. Nobody can move to the servers they want because the people on those servers aren't able to leave. If that was the plan then there was no point in giving people the option in the first place.

Has anyone seen any servers open up all day? Been checking as much as IO can and see everything still at full.

Ridill opened up for a few seconds, a few minutes ago. The rest have not budged. I snuck in an alt onto Ridill if anyone wants that spot Ill transfer my alt to Ragnarok.

I think that one of the problem was that a large part of players assumed that ragnarok will become an EU server although EU players are not enough to fill it by half and a part of them will not move on ragnarok...

Too bad, maybe only half of EU players will move...it won't free a lot of slots...

or a cap at 3k is not out of the question either, so a merged population that was over capped at the start could not accept transfers (but of course would not kick anyone out either).

I honestly love how when the proposed server transfer method was first introduced people were screaming bloody murder about how Yoshida hated the community... What did everyone expect to happen? You would be able to move where ever you wanted when they gave you the chance? With the way THE COMMUNITY wanted the transfer to go, this was going to be the only outcome. The option to transfer is a courtesy for those that want to move it is no guarantee that there would be room on the server you want, the option the community chose was in no way going to allow mass amounts of people to go where they want since people were not removed from the servers. This is what happens when people that don't understand what they are asking for get what they want, its not what you thought it would be was it? If the transfers would have gone the way the Dev. had planned all the servers would have been empty and people would have filled them as they want. Congratulations you got what you wanted.

Yep. Very unfortunate for those affected, but it was to be expected honestly. My only advice would be to camp the shit out of the transfer page in case you get lucky, and if not don't be such an antisocial nerd and get to know the new people on your default server.

I've got some additional details to share with you all in regards to the Worlds being at capacity on the application page. Multiple times throughout the day, the data will be collected and reviewed by the development and operations teams. Once they've calculated the amount of space that has been opened up from characters transferring, they will then manually update the application page to change some Worlds from "X" to "△". This will often take place from the hours between the evening to the morning each day (PST). Users wishing to move are urged to check the application page during those times for newly opened Worlds.
