Oh right, we should run. That's something that is undervalued. People who run or cop out of situations because of what they personally lose. You're totally right. That promotes way more risk taking and heroic behavior.

Oh,oh, I know. When you die you should automatily go back to lvl 1 and your corpse is then teleported to ff11 where you have to beat the game to get back to ff14. Also as soon as you die you should get locked out of the game for 3 months.
I think that's a fair compromise we can all agree on.
This idea is absurd. And if you truely want to follow lore, then you would need something irreversible to happen. Dying is temporary and weakness wears off, so dying doesn't follow the lore as you claim. It would need to be more like.... you lose 5 strength that you can NEVER get back. That's irreversible.
But anyways... this is a video game... set in a FANTASY world. It doesn't need to follow every piece of lore exactly. The anima system is perfectly fine as it is.
