    Anima+Death=<3

    Anima:
"Though the exact mechanism behind teleportation via aetheryte is still largely a mystery, one theory states that when a sentient being approaches one of the portals, the aether that makes up its body resonates with the aether of the crystals, which in turn results in a complete breakdown of the being's mass, allowing it to temporarily return to the invisible aetheric streams that course throughout the planet. The being's soul, which cannot be broken down, then guides the particles to a pre—determined destination, and upon arrival, the corresponding aetheryte receptacle reconfigures the mist back into its original form. This whole process takes only a matter of moments, allowing for nearly instant transportation to faraway destinations.
However, being broken down to the aetheric level can take its toll on one's body, and rest is often required after several consecutive jumps, especially as the distance becomes greater. As a precaution, most city—states strongly discourage over—teleporting, as it can lead to irreversible damage..."

That's the lore for anima from the Official Final Fantasy XIV Website. Now, we all know that I don't like anima, neither do a few other people.
As you can see from that lore tid bit. Anima is pretty much a life force "As a precaution, most city—states strongly discourage over—teleporting, as it can lead to irreversible damage...". Now, the only penalty from using anima is, well, losing the ability to use it for a short period of time. So I would like to tie anima with DEATH and vise verse.
When I say death, I mean a death penalty(will keep pushing it, so deal with it). The death penalty as it stands right now; *Weakened effect, *Armor durability loss. So, I want to propose(again) a different death penalty tied to anima.
So, I think we can all mostly agree that anima is part of our life force, going by this lore. So, why not have it part of the death penalty?
    Death penalty with me:
    *Weakened effect
*Loss of x amount of anima.
Now, you see there is no armor durability, well, Yoshi has dumbed it down soo far, it might as well just disappear all together.
Now on the other side of the coin, when you use anima, you will be induced into a double weakened effect(trying to stay with the lore here). If you teleport x amount of times, you will die upon zoning. Thus putting my death penalty into effect. So, they are pretty much one in the same.

    1.21 and beyond
As some of us know, White Mage will gain an ability that erases weakened status(I'll find the source later and put it here). What it also could do is refresh one anima and let you teleport one extra time. Of course that can only happen if you teleport and still in the double weakened status.
Now, this next idea is going out there a little bit.
Because anima is a life energy deal(stealing this from an anime) it could make sense that it creates an entity of some sort. Kinda like in Index(have to watch it to know what I mean). So, when x amount of anima has been used through out all of the servers, it will spawn this entity.
Why do I say all the servers? Well, this is a way they could make use of their, dungeon finder deal they are going to do(I don't like by the way). So, what will happen is when it spawns(it can even wonder the world as a ghostly figure that you can't attack, until its a whole body) it will select 20 people from each server whom last teleported(that are level 50) and spawn them in an instance with this entity. Now, it wouldn't have any special drop, it would just be a fun random activity that we the people caused.
(something along those lines please discuss this!)

Now, you will be like "LOTS DEATH ON GAME" well, we could incorporate something that someone invented that you can get, to refresh anima faster/instant(going to be expensive and limited use though, or hard to get through a repeatable quest.) I'm trying to just add more depth to the lore with something I want to see happen, a bigger death penalty and less anima use ^.^.

Well, you guys can toy, make fun, discuss the idea.

TL;deal: I want to incorporate what the lore says in the official website about anima and tie it with a death penalty. Upon death you will lose some anima, and in use of anima you will see death. With the use of anima it will spawn a mob. While keeping the same teleport system.

I had an idea. Could porting to gridania be free after completing one of the three quests. Ifrit, Garuda or moogle? It's a pain in the ass to have to ask for port when you win those fights. I think that's what annoys most people. You win it 10x in a row, that's 2-3 anima per port. I think it would be easier to implement and everyone would win.

By free, I mean, given 5-10 min of the primal death. Only in this case you could port free to gridania.

    What do you Guys think?

I would rather have the option to turn in the tappers at the primal eatheryte, the one that you click on to enter the instance. So you dont have to travel to the NPC in grid each time, kinda annoying to keep doing that hundreds of times... even if tele would be free.

Hey guess what, you only have to teleport once in a full day of ifrit party/ garuda party. Teleport once getting there, set hp(because you know you can have two now right?). Return to and from: total anima spent 6.

Also with the easiness of gaining anima back now with hamlet, I don't see an anima issue anymore.

    Yea I guess ..

I just don't see the need for a death penalty, durability is fine and think it works fairly well at the moment.

Fear of death for me is more about letting every one down more than being punished.
