MCH buffs!

I think mch is better than casters now. Running mch/bard is probably optimal again because mch damage is like same than smn/rdm, blm not have enough damage with 0 utility + they bring hypercharge and can boost foe uptime with refresh. Dismantle is like better version from addle so you dont need caster for anything.

I highly doubt that. MCH dps is very solid right now, maybe a few % points higher than BRD but we'll have to wait a few days to be sure of that. However it's still fairly lower than pure dps jobs like blm and sam. As long as they don't buff Hypercharge, a double ranged meta will probably not happen again in the future. Double ranged was meta in 3.4 because rook hypercharge was only useful to physical jobs (and was a 10% buff) and mnk's dps was lower than a brd/mch's in most encounters (and disembowel debuff was too useful to ranged dps). Also, we had a % difference around 10% between the highest and lowest dps job in 3.4. Now this difference is around 15% so it's not so obvious whether raid utility>personal dps right now.

I feel people are looking at cooldown in the wrong way as an ability that should be used like Empyreal Arrow instead of an ability that should be used like Geirskogul or tornado kick. Mch has it issues but I like it better then 3.0 version. I don't see how it "boring" I love seeing the animations and wildfire better then ever. The turret on the otherhand need some work. The fact that no one even mention it tell how pointless it is currently. The timer after rookoverdrive is to long and other then hypercharge you don't interact with it at all.

MCH is amazing ! The rotation make sense now, cooldowns are aligned nicely, and I can outdps my bard, not by a huge margin, but there's less rng involved so... I'm sure MCH dps is superior to BRD dps on average.
Dismantle is really good now, it's close to bard's utility, I love it !

I can understand why people prefered the 4.0 MCH, but I like this one better personally, so it's up to the player I think.

Rflmao, comparing MCH to RDM is delusional and MCH still cannot outdps a BRD, I'm preeeeeetty sure about that, a buff to OH is not enough to allow it and BRD can still peak much more, don't forget that a critical Refulgent Arrow+Barrage still deals same if not more dmg than wildfire (which takes 1 minute and 10 seconds of preparation to get a good one), even a single Wanderer's Minuet could deal much more damage in 30s than one wildfire, that takes at least one minute if your rotation is on point.
Proc Refulgent Arrow (even without barrage) during Wanderer's Minuet and you'll see the BRD leaving MCH in the dust.
"Oh but it will take also one minute and a few seconds for the next wanderer!" Well my friend, refulgent arrow can be proc'd many times in one minute and even empyreal arrow with barrage is enough to make wildfire blush.

you - Amanda, you're only criticizing MCH, why don't you leave suggestions?!
me - With the many suggestions that this forum has for MCH (which NONE, ABSOLUTELY NONE) have been heard, no, I won't leave suggestions and I'll bash on the class because SE is doing a terrible job with MCH, if you're satisfied with bandaid fixes, good for you, doesn't mean the class is fixed yet.
I don't even see how BRD can be compared to MCH anyway, brd is much closer to a RDM than MCH, because the utilities alone leave MCH in the dust.
A single ninja can outdps (or at least now be matched with a MCH) and bring a better (TA) to the group; After all , every single party has a tank and at least one tank can easily bring Reprisal without losing too much, specially if they're a paladin.

And for those who think that dismantle is enough to match brd's buffs: Nature's Minne
(not even bringing up the 3 songs buffs and crit and battle voice...)
They don't do the same thing obviously, but 45s cd, and as i've mentioned before, have both tanks bring reprisal and mch will be useless again, now you have an open spot for a blm, for example.

The OH change is nice but theres still a couple major issues that need to be fixed.

1. With OH now being a thing, the class has become ping reliant to the point where the class is actually impossible to play optimally if you have any latency or lag at all. OH should be changed in a way that gets rid of the 6GCD window or else you need a perfect connection to play the class.

2. Heat needs to be generated more quickly again. Right now heat is literally something you can ignore completely. Your rotation passively puts you at the perfect amount of heat every wildfire without having to do anything. Cooldown is also no longer even used except as a filler skill in wildfire after your procs are gone.

Its great that the damage got buffed, but wait a bit and I guarantee youll see people frustrated with these two things once more people have figured out how simple the rotation actually is. MCH never had either of these two issues before, and the first especially is actually a huge deal.

It is a shame they don't seem to factor that in when they make changes to classes, this isn't the first class to have this issues and sadly it wont be the last.

I think it could be fixed pretty easily too. Simply changing Overheat to last 5 GCDs and the cooldown window to last 4 GCDs would resolve it while keeping it functionally the same. You could change Wildfire to do the same thing also for consistency, but it doesn't cause ping issues yet.

Actually Cooldowns have lined up very well on mch for awhile now, giving us more overheat dmg didn't change that.
Dismantle is good? what changed, they lowered its cooldown...that...is...all As its been said many times tanks already take reprisal for raids so what makes this skill great?
Close to bards Utility, Sure only if you ignore Battle Voice, The Warden's Paean, Troubadour, Nature's Minne, Foe Requiem, and the crit buff they give for there songs.
Just to be clear as well MCH utility Dismantle, Hypercharge...

MCH just doesn't have the same level of flexibility that bard has which is fine imo, but that being said mch needs more dps to make up for its lack of support. This is very difficult to do without touching bard, because of bards rng it can out dps a MCH.
