SAM out classing all other DPS

Also the fact that there is such a huge gap between sam and mch dps is not a sam issue but rather a mch issue. Mch should be buffed, no doubt about that, unless expert mch players are missing something important about the new rotation, but I really doubt that.

Well As of 69th they are not "blowing the doors of RDM".

I was able to get some parces with a SAM who knew what he was doing... in the similar gear.

This one was able to beat me... by about 80 dps which was very slight.

I ended up with 34% he ended up with 35%... so no they're very close as of 69th level as well.

And Sam will be getting all the paty buffs too, like balances, dragoon buffs.. and there are other physical buffs too. Imo there shouldn\\\\\\'t be such a big gap between the dps. I doubt it. Blm actually pays for its dps unlike others who can put up roughly similar numbers at almost no cost to themselves.

10% difference, but rdm has utility and it's more mobile. Also it doesn't need time to apply buffs and debuffs which is a big deal especially during short dps checks after downtime. If anything, rdm is a little too strong.

I agree. But SAM is quite mobile with its low CD ogcd gap closers.

Yeah but mine is coming from actual combat instances... yours is coming from a Training Dummy.

Big difference there man.

Black Mages can do some serious damage on a Training Dummy too, but in real combat they rarely even come close to those numbers because they have to move so much.

SAM isn't blowing any doors off anyone in the actual game. At least no more than anyone else.

Indeed sam is very mobile, but do consider yaten and gyoten are still a dps loss since they use kenki. Plus enpi interrupts your combo. I wouldn't be surprised if fflogs will show that sam is actually not the highest dps in savage content because of mechanics and stuff. In which case it'll be useless because of the zero exclusive utility they bring to the raid. I'm actually more worried about smn and rdm high st dps.

One job that is really doing very well in actual combat instances post 4.0 is Ninja.

That one has surprised me a bit
