You're right about the zerg rush not being the intended method in Hunts, but that was our standard norm.

Why is it so important to stop people from overpowering OLD CONTENT? From preventing things that they've done hundreds of times in the past (in the intended way) from being easier to access (no need for full groups)?

People are always going to pick the easiest option... the point is for the easiest option to not be so easy that it's not even fun anymore (like hunts)... Melting the boss in 30 seconds is not fun for a lot of people.... that's why people are concerned. Not sure why that's so hard to understand.

Not the easiest option...the quickest option. You can also impose limits on yourself, just go naked with a lvl 1 weapon if you want shit to take more time to kill...

Its not hard to understand. We understood it from the beginning. We just don't agree. And we don't have to agree. Both styles of play are available, and they do not impede on one another. One is just more popular, and that's just the nature of things.

You have the way you want to play the game already waiting for you, and we do as well.

Could we just call it a truce? or is that not enough for you?

Its not that simple. Its not that one is more popular, its that they are exactly the same except one is much easier. You get the same completion, same rewards, and same progression, there is no competition. In order to be competitive there needs to be appropriate incentive to stick to the harder version, then people will actually have a choice when they play content, depending on their intentions. Do we farm the harder version and get better rewards? or just clear unsynced? (or as a compromise, have it so that in order to get mounts/minions/crafting items/orchestrion rolls etc. in unsynced, you must have cleared the content synced - just a spitball idea)

I think it is completely stupid to allow unsynced runs of any kind. Especially when they have such a good sync system in the game.
Buuut every MMO seems to do this. Basically just don't bother being super hardcore, getting awesome rare things and so on because some time after people will faceroll them and get the things you worked on for months in one evening.
That's how I started to look at it after what happened to coiltower. Like the final witness was a pretty rare title way back, but now nobody who actually cleared it back in the day uses it because they don't want to get mixed up with the people who did it unsynced.
It's stupid that it happens, but what can you do. Gotta allow everyone to have all the rare stuff without putting in the work.

On topic, you have months for every boss to clear while they are still relevant, why not do them now?
I know I wouldn't look once at old ex primals if I still had to run them synced.

And that is precisely why one is more popular. There's a causal connection between it being easier and it being more popular.

That's something people don't seem to want to realize. Yes, you get the same completion, the same rewards and the same progression. Which means those are not a factor when considering which path to take towards them - you get them either way. And if you get them either way, you are free to pick the way you personally like more. If you want reward X, you can go either way W or V, whichever gives you the most enjoyment.
If they did not have the same rewards, then you'd no longer have free choice. If you want reward X, you have to go way W, full stop, no questions asked, no way around, even if you'd rather go way V. This is where there is no competition, because that's a monopoly.

I mean, you can complain about people commonly not enjoying difficulty, hardship and the grit of their teeth in their idle pass-day activity, but that's just how it is.

So my take from this is that people should be made to do old content for hours just because... Completely disregarding a players time.

So this way I would have to find time to do my hunts, my roulettes, my weekly 24man runs, Alex normal farms, Extreme Primal farms and also ontop of at I'd have to spend the same amount of time doing the old primals as the new ones...

How much time do you think I have exactly? I barley cope with the amount of things I have to do as it is. One sure way to make me never run old stuff again though is to make is so I had to do it weaker than I am...

Exactly. Which is why we skip the old, irrelevant stuff by running it unsynced. Because we don't have to do it. :)
